- In John 17 we see how Jesus prays for His disciples. In this passage of the chapter Jesus prays for unity among all believers, even as among the original disciples.

AMENNN. The reading of the full chapter at the end was astounding. Closing my eyes, imagining Jesus lifting his eyes and hands to the Lord and saying this prayer. It really puts into perspective my own prayers and prayer life. Am I giving God the Honor while at his feet and thanking him or asking for something or showing gratitude. Amazing
Today, I attended a community Lent Service in my hometown. This passage from the Gospel of St. John was read. The guest pastor entitled his sermon "One."

During these trying times, we need to go public, pray for people and boldly share God’s plan of salvation Everyone needs the Lord. Also, long ago the Sermons from the Churches were published in the News Paper. We need to make the Bible public again. I pray that we repent and have revival.

As a church we need to be unified as one like Jesus to the Father and Father to Jesus And we need to each member of the church humility and love one another. Thank you pastor David.

It is true that a member needs to be corrected. I have a friend that the church didn't and he never could see that what he did was really wrong.

David, when Jesus says we are one so they all became God ? As Jesus or God like we are one. ?
Jesus' words do not imply that "we are one" means ghat humans can be divine. We don't become God. It speaks of the oneness of unity and fellowship. Just as Christians are "one in Christ", it doesn't;t mean that I become someone else or that they become me. Hope this helps. Blessings.
