I love that Zentnerds are slowly populating the world, asking questions, becoming curious, and making the world generally smarter. Basil is such a great teacher, and I have loved seeing discussions with him and Nick.
I have stopped at that out crop for 20 years on my way to see rocks with less confusing stories. Great to hear Basil on this. Basil has always been a lot of fun.
Thanks so much, Sabr! Since I need new knees, I knew this wasn't for me. I think the ubiquitous Muffler Boy was perfect. I think you did a great job on filming this!
Wow! Who'd a thunkit? I was spinning through the thumbnails of a whole bunch of videos, and a word that I recognized caught my eye: "Zentnerds". I instantly pictured a field trip in the Pacific Northwest with a group of people looking at a piece of landscape. The only difference - I didn't envision such a large group of "Zentnerds", lol. Maybe that makes me an honorary member?
I'm sitting here at Shady Acre Observatory and we have the lamp bright with light,... it's 10:00 PM and I am planning on a little radio for a time. I watched this course discussion about the rock and the mass of the Geology. Looking at the stratification and how very parallel these plates are, platy and yet concise and having a blocky texture,.... I thought 💭 of Varve and this has rolled over some 85°. I 🤔 then visualized Drumweiller Granites. That, from this angle looks to be Sedimentary, so it has been Horizontal. Gee, gee, gee!!!

Thank you Sabr!
Wow I live in Lewiston. I won't look at these rocks the same again.
Perfect job capturing the talk. Thanks for including us, Sabr!
Thanks for filming this Sabr. I think I picked up a lot more after watching this than I did on the outcrop when we were still early in the field trip.
Thank you so much, Sabr. We couldn't attend because so many Zentnerds signed up. Fantastic! ☺🙏

Thank you Sabr, very helpful recap!

"We know EXACTLY when that happened. 100 million years ago. 98, 99, 100 milion years ago". Gotta love the accuracy of a geologist.
Great video ty all i can say is sound was a bit lower than norm
I just got this. Thank you great questions, lots of work for you but it really clears up the picture of the W idaho shear zone.
