    I love these deconstruction of a photo videos. They are so inspirational. Joe Mcnally had a series like this a while ago (he may still...admittedly, I haven't watched him or his stuff in years.) and it was a great way to get ideas about the very things you talk about.... lighting, props, posing, and it really is a wealth of information. Thank you Zack.

    Cool! Love the image. And the proces you're showing. Just stumbled on your channel today and I'm exploring some more video's. The ones I stumbled on were Lighting White Seamless 1 & 2. Great info there! Hope you'll continue with the channel. Thanks for all the info.

    I was drawn to this photo when I first saw it on your website. I love hearing the thought process behind an image. And capturing an image is a process. This makes me miss the time I spent setting up lights to capture an image. I don't do it as often as I used to simply because of chronic knee pain.

    This was great! Never thought about using the dropper to click on an area other than to produce a "correct" white balance.

    • @ZackAriasATL
      @ZackAriasATL  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve got one of these show and tell videos coming up where I’ll talk more about that. It started for me on an image where I accidentally clicked on the carpet in the room, it through the colors all off and... I liked it. White balance off carpet? Never!

    Great portrait, I like the concept and the editing you've done.
    I also think that it was good to leave out the frame from the floor, it was taking too much attention away from the chairs, in my opinion.

      @@ZackAriasATL But I have to ask: We know the light you used, but tell us this: HOW MUCH gear did you take?!! (and not use)

    • @ZackAriasATL
      @ZackAriasATL  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      ALL of it! I take my full bag of lights and cameras. If you go to my channel here you’ll see two videos from a few years ago where I talk through all my gear I take on location. It hasn’t changed much since then. I also take a few extra things every now and then like the hot light I mentioned in this video, smoke machine, wardrobe, etc.

    The last couple of minutes have the audio is out of sync a bit. I think you have had that problem before with your settings. Not sure what that is, but wanted to let you know. Or maybe it is just my connection.

    • @ZackAriasATL
      @ZackAriasATL  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know what’s going on. I have seen it before but I’m not seeing it in this one. Others have told me there’s no issues while still others say they are having sync issues. It’s becoming quite frustrating.

    Thanks for the walk-through and the symbolism. Many of my chairs are made from mesquite, so they are super-heavy and you can barely lift them. I had always seen your chairs as flying, in this photo, rather than tied together on the verge of collapse! Maybe like a Lois Greenfield photo?
    Anyone else seeing video/audio sync issues with this? Zack, did you change mikes again?

    • @ZackAriasATL
      @ZackAriasATL  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know what’s happening with sync issues. I’m not seeing it but other have. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Brilliant shot. Two things...did you have a fill light in the back of the room? And second, you really need to update your version of C1, the new high dynamic settings are killers! :)

    • @ZackAriasATL
      @ZackAriasATL  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah. It is time to upgrade. And no other additional light from me. Aside from the one hot light the rest is ambient.

    "I know it's all behind me... the smoke is filling the room...." Maaann... I know that feeling... though mine is more like an 800 pound mama bear that I can't outrun, and there isn't another guy to kneecap so the bear gets him instead.

    Why did you remove the frame from the floor….it could be integral to the scene especially where he ended up gazing, may be a frame of someone he loved and lost. (no picture in it) . your instinct was right on the money…follow the first one hits you.
