Man, I just love this so freaking much! Back then I was in school I never actually knew how many QTEs are in this game. Punch combo which makes Wesker collapse, 1-hit KO at the final fight... And there are so many details. Like Chris hurting his fist after punching Wesker... Goddamn, I love this!
RE5 is outright awesome. Its not a survival horror if you can punch a villain into submission, true. But it's still hell of a ride!
It's not survival horror. But then again Resident evil in general wasn't limited to being survival horror. RE5 is an amazing Resident Evil game!!
People hate on it too much, its silly fun, in what game can you beat the crap out of a superhuman and his goons, battle a giant cockroach, punch a boulder into submission, and brawl in a volcano
@@r3trobananas33 bruh i love survival horror but this game is the most fun in the series for me. After you finish playing you can see it is not the best RE game, but during the gameplay it's one of the most exciting action games i've ever played, uncharted 2 tier.

This was the most satisfying thing in RE5 beating the piss outta Wesker with Melee attacks with the timing and all is so sweet.

I fucking loved melee combat with Wesker, it was so satisfying.
I feel the discomfort of a broken knuckle when I see Chris hurt his fist too many times against Wesker's face....
i wish they had made wesker's attack faster and had the animation for stopping his jaguar dash more like chris sidestepping and then punching a blur that then materializes as wesker (which would also make sense for why his fist hurts afterward). To clarify, I don't mind the actual gameplay speed of wesker's attacks, more like the animation. i feel like wesker is portrayed as super fast but then during the actual fights he is very sluggishly animated.
Wesker's ego made him "weak". He looked down on Chris too much he became vulnerable. Big lesson for us all, don't ever look down on our opponents/enemies.

Sure game Wesker who can dodge a shot gun blast from the back at point blank range is able to get bodied by Chris who can move bolders with his punches.An actual outcome of this fight is demonstrated by a fail button prompt which happens later in the Jet plane scene is when Sheva does not shoot Wesker when he wall jumps from the roof,it ends up with Chris getting his neck twisted 180 degrees by Wesker literally just rotating his head like you do with a bottle cap.The best part about that scene was how Wesker then just proceeds to stand ominously with both of our heroes behind his back,like Sheva and the entire world is so totally screwed at that point and no one can stop this monster
Ha ha of course it's unrealistic, but the makers knew most of the players would like getting in a few good hits, after all of Wesker's taunting😄

Do you realise that is a reflective fighting style? Chris stopped Weskers high knee strikes with both hands before striking him with an elbow, that is an aikido, kung fu and street fighting mixture of moves he does there.
