My neighbor had and all black cat. Open the slider at night and you never see him sneak in. He liked to go upstairs into my bed.
My Mom taught me that there's a reason for everything. There's a reason why these cats visit. They certainly brighten the lives whom they visit.
My 2nd cat is named boomer. Short for boomerang. Every time roommate threw him out the door, he came back in the window! Lol
I suggest that you throw out those horrible roommates and keep dear sweet Boomer!
If you love them & take care of them they are your cats.😺😸❤️✌️
Our neighbors cat comes running everyday every single time it sees us especially when we're sitting in the car smoking to keep warm it comes right over jumps on the car and comes right in to soak up all our attention and warmth, and takes her naps in the car sits on the dash like queen boss everything 😄, basically she's our part time cat we love the thing it's so friendly ❤️
And it goes from Not My Cat to My Feline Overlord(s)/Lady(ies)!

Many years ago my family got"adopted" by a cat. A big ginger tom, who's personality was not cat like at all.
These crack me up BUT how in the world do these cats get in? Never happened to me except for the time I left a basement window cracked open and the next morning my female cat had a smile and a new boyfriend.

Cats knows who to trust. We have 3 Cats, and they come and go as they please, knowing they always have food and Water inside awaiting them. Our Mobile Home Park is practically a Cat Sanctuary. Almost every door has food out.
Sounds like a good place. We put food and water out too.

Cats love food. If you give them food, they’ll keep coming back to your house. Basically you shouldn’t feed cats unless you know they don’t have an owner.

The kitty with the "DoNot Feed" sign on collar: Take Heed. He may have feline diabetes or such. You may not actually want to kill him.
My next door neighbor’s cat Nibbles just loves to hang out with me and my wife in our back yard patio deck. Especially when we are cooking hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill. =^.^=
All black cats remind me of my "not my cat" Fang. I acquired him thru time and many visits, and we became besties.
I noticed a few of these cats have notched ears. They may be stray or feral, but someone got them spayed or neutered. Blessings on bringing them into your lives.

We always have 4 or 5 cats a cat will die of old age or another normal thing and another will show up we never turn one away and we never get over populated
The story of life. I have gotten most all of my cats the same way. One passes on. Within a couple of months, another one shows up.
I've lived in the same place in the country for over 30 years..
