Beautiful! Emerald lake is wonderful and the hike up to the waterfalls was great. Takkakaw Falls area and hike was terrific too. Great panoramas. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely gorgeous. I'm looking forward to doing some travelling in a couple of years with just me and my dog. It was nice to see a dog there. Thank you for this video. I definitely want to go there.
My name is Bill. I also live in Vancouver, I cant thank both of you enough for sharing all these beautiful videos, I have recently purchased my first new Adventurer truck camper along with a new F150 to start off my camping adventures, your video clips are so educational and inspirational, I hope I can visit all the places that both of you have visited. good luck and stay safe !!
Bill, thank you so much for your comment! We are big fans of truck campers and are sure you will enjoy visiting all the wonderful places we have here in BC and beyond! Perhaps our paths may cross one day and in the interim, safe travels! 🚐
I loved my all too short stay in Yoho National Park, Only 3 days . I went there with getting to know the beautiful and world famous Burgess Shale Cambrian fossils beds as the main point of the trip. Reservations must be made to do that hike with a Park guide because it's a world heritage site and is very protected. The Hike up to the quarry is very beautiful and the site is high up on the eastern ridges above the Emerald Basin... I think? That trip is a must for you two, you'll love it! Besides, any excuse to back to Yoho is a good one. From California it's an awfully long drive for just a week or two vacation, but when I retire in a year my Travato and I will be spending more quality time exploring Yoho's beautiful trails. I really enjoyed this video as I do so many of your others. Happy trails to you both!
John Havens we loved Yoho too! Often overshadowed a bit perhaps by Banff, but not such a bad thing. We often consider our initial trip anywhere simply for exploration, and then we will have a better idea of what to do next time. Yoho is certainly on the list to return to and to explore further! Appreciate your input on the fossil beds! Safe travels and perhaps our paths may cross at some point in the future. 🚐
We also camped at Monarch this summer- love it there!!! It was a great base for us; even to go into Lake Louise which you could never get into! Bit noisy from the highway at night but the scenery makes up for it!
Wendell Womack appreciate the feedback. We plan to try a new external mic, but hard often to use given we are often on the go outdoors. Looking to improve where we can.
Thank you for getting us aquainted with your beautiful national forests.....I hope that beautiful dog's companion/owner was nearby. Looking forward to continue enjoying your vacation.
You are most welcome...such a great park and we loved the mountains! The dog was waiting for the owner to catch up...literally around the corner. Appreciate the comments🚐
Beautiful scenery. I was wondering if the rivers there run with heavy sedimentation year round, or if it was from recent rainfall? Wow, I bet those falls in the spring would be unreal. Nice vid. Forgot, the Carey's have "Carry on," you should do "Hike on!" :)
Fairly certain the sedimentation is year round at Yoho. Best for fishing on thiis summer trip would likely have been Wells Gray area. Like the tag line ‘Hike On’🚐
Thank you. The hiking with the two falls behind us was above Emerald Basin (about 3 km from Emerald Lake). Here is a link to the spot where stopped if of interest (fms.ws/1BbZXI/51.47229N/116.56094W . You can zoom in for details, but it may take a bit of time to fill it all in. We really enjoyed that area and literally there was no one else in the upper area. Thanks for the comments 🚐
Thank you for using a humane mouse trap!!! Where did you find that? And, thank you, again, for showing us such beautiful views!! Is your Zion still doing well for you?
We found the trap at Home Hardware, which are local owner hardware stores here in Canada. We love them...almost always have what you need and are a big part of the community. Glad you enjoyed the views..as you could tell we did too! Zion working well and appreciated the smaller wheel base on those tight corners in Yoho. Thanks for watching!
Mice love chocolate and/or peanut butter …. mmm … mmmmmm. Cheese, I've found, mice don't care for but they may love the cat food. Another excellent video. Dave & Irene may have Pistol, but you have Precious!! Cheers, Steve If you have the time, check out a short video of a recent trip to Driftwood Provincial Park on the Ottawa River north of Ottawa. Awesome video as always Gordon and Miki! That scenery looks absolutely stunning.
Glad you enjoyed! We think Yoho often misses out to Banff or Jasper, but is equally stunning for folks who like to hike.

Indeed, amazing scenery and great camera work. Thank you for sharing. I hear peanut butter is very attractive to mice.
Glad you enjoyed! We both enjoyed the area so much! Yes, we have heard that both chocolate and peanut butter are two good options to tempt mice with.
Another great video.Did you get the mouse?
Thank you! And no, it simply disappeared. Unfortunately two weeks later we met his cousin for an evening on the way home. Trap set once again!
Beautiful shots on the road 👍. Thanks for the ride.
Even better shots on the hike. Awesome!
Yes, the views were stunning; on both the drive and the hikes. Thanks for the comments and you are most welcome! 🚐
nice video. what is the name of that area where you hiked with waterfalls in the background?
the video was shown before your drive to takkakaw falls.
