One of the quintessential action movies of the 90ies with high marks in every department especially the score. Mancina's music (out of the Zimmer factory) sets the tone for this adrenaline pumping and fuse lightning bus ride which the still young then cast of Bullock and Reeves readily join. Neither composer nor director de Bont would surpass their contribution for SPEED in later films, unfortunately. Nice suite, thanks.
Mancina did a lot of the music for Moana too, which was pretty good. I went into it cold and came to the credits thinking "huh, this sounded a bit like Speed and also Hamilton, I wonder who did the score" 🤣

I keep hearing references to this score in contemporary scores. It was a real game changer, way ahead of its time. Brilliant work by Mancina!
