  • Ochre, in my humble opinion, is one of the best melodic IDM producers currently out right now,. This track off his sophomore album "Lemodie" is more of an organic, natural affair than the other tracks on the album, which makes it somewhat of a standout on an already excellent release. Enjoy the tunes, and rate if you like this song!

Commenting again, every time this song comes on my playlist it amazes me every time.
I primarily listen to prog rock but this track gets me.

The vintage quality. It's wispy and evocative of a different time and place. It's also the fact that this song ages like fine wine. Considering how long ago it was released (2006!), it's held up wonderfully.
It actually reminds me of something out of an animated Miyazaki film for some reason.

Haunting. I’m not a writer for pitchfork, this song is something else.

Also, reminds me of being in love in the Bay Area. Personally.

I loved this so much, then my brother heard it and he said "Are you listening to music made with farts? Hilarious!"
    I cannot unhear it now.

+Mortimer Eredann Great! it's one of his more unique tracks, although later albums definitely were influenced in a classical style. Hope you venture further down the melodic IDM path, breaking away from the modern "party style" of IDM that propagates all genres.

0today8 is my favorite song off "What You Want Isn't What You Need". I love the downtrodden melody and stark, minimal beat structure in that song. I'll have to check out loess, because I've heard a lot of good things. Thanks!
