That looks so much easier than the parts guy or the mechanic I talked to. I was a little confused, I was told you have to remove the tire, pull out the plastic wheel well just to get to the part. After watching your video. I replaced mine in just a few minutes, only needed a 10mm socket and a flat tipped screwdriver. You made it look easy, and it was. Now about that video production quality. Well it was good enough for me to follow and get the job done. So I say um, Well Done. And thank you very much.
This was perfect I accidentally got there just as you was teaching on the po449 evap with the power probe II. Just so happened I got an impala lt 06 so it was a cool move. Thanks Bro.
I got a p0455 large evap leak on 06 Monte Carlo (same as the impala) and I want this code gone so I can use my remote start but I don’t know whether it’s the vent valve or a busted line cause I replaced my gas cap already
I did not buy the additional wire, but the old wire hooked up nicely. Does it matter or should I have ordered the additional wire adapter. The engine light did not turned off just yet.
So i replaced my solenoid but cant seem to get the check engine light to go away. Tried to erase it with an OBD scanner and even unplugged the battery for 24 hours. Any ideas?
John Vazquez it could be something else cause your engine light to come on. Try going to get the codes cleared at your mechanic it should disappear after that, but if it happens to pop back on you may need to get your vehicle checked.are you sure of what codes you got ?
As sledhead88 said, it is a transmission issue. That happened to me as well and ended up having to replace my transmission as it completely went out one day while I was driving.
Me to my impala would do it from a stop position I found out it was losing hydraulic pressure repair shop wanted close to 2200 so I sold it to my dad and let him take care of the rest. 2006 LS impala.
That is a solenoid inside of the transmission. Had a recall on the part years ago. Have to drop the bottom of the transmission to fix it or just live with it. I live with it
He plugged the wire connector from selonid to car car connector backwards look at wires when he gets done white running to red that's backwards red supposed to run to red white run to white please make sure u hook plugs up correctly or you will still have check engine problems
Good observation. The new part was supplied with an adapter harness for the updated parts. No wires were removed from their connectors. Time 5:52 mentions the new adapter harness. Thank you for watching!

Having the same problem bro, did you figure anything out
Rhett Harkleroad never did actually but check the evap system under the bumper
Same issue I'm having so I'm wanting to make sure I replace the right part
my wife's impala issue is that it's hard to put feul in the tank. problem will be solved now!!!
Hello thank you for sharing. I know the frustration.
Did it remove check engine light?
does the engine light go right off cause mine didnt

The additional wire is only required if your connector is different than the new part. You are good if it plugged in.
My car keeps stalling out at red lights but when I get a full tank of gas it runs a little better what could it be
So i replaced my solenoid but cant seem to get the check engine light to go away. Tried to erase it with an OBD scanner and even unplugged the battery for 24 hours. Any ideas?

It could be the hose going to the solenoid that could be a leak or the purge valve on the front of the engine under the cover on the driver side.
Now...how to replace purge valve?
Where is it located? Video didn't show where you went
He’s wrenching on it
My car is not accelerating after a complete stop for a couple seconds, then it pops up so crazy. Was that the reason why you changed those parts?
That' sounds like a transmission issue. I had mine acting like that a few years ago. Its a common trans issue.
