Hey Adam, loving your videos so far! They’re very well made, especially for a channel so new. At some point, could you do a video where you break down in detail what the cost of living is like in various places you’ve stayed? Like how much is a meal? How much does it cost to rent a car for a day? How much is a hotel for a weekend excursion? I just have no idea how the prices might vary in these different places. Seeing how much specific things cost could really give me an idea for how financially viable something like this is. Thanks for reading!
Hey, thanks a lot for taking the time to comment! Yes, I actually have these sort of videos on my to-film list, as I found those types of videos very helpful as well. Thanks for watching!
as an Italian, Italy is beautiful but affordable only if you don't work as a local, since most people here earn less than 1500eur. As an engineer I earned 1450 net (junior), that's why I moved to Denmark. It's a shame, I'd really like to go back but it's not even about earning more, it's about earning enough to live comfortably
@@Pellegrino1I'm in software development, but I've heard that Switzerland has a high cost of living. They even have high taxation. As a you're living there, is all this true?
I'd like to see where you travelled. Some spots look like Matera and Polignano, but I might be mistaken. Haven't been, but did some research for future trips!
Matera and Polignano are definitely in there! Some of my favourite places we visited. Especially Matera blew me away. Will certainly consider sharing more - thanks for watching!
Italy, as a country, frustrated me to no end due to the adherence to tradition (for traditions sake), onerous regulations, and high energy prices. It's SUCH a beautiful place with cool history, nice people, and delicious food, but living there has become unnecessarily difficult
Some comments talking about it only being great if you don’t work there on Italian wages. Thing is, nobody works here lol, also go south, much better than north.
It depends on the place you rent - the owner sets the rate. But it is quite usual that the owner will set, say a 25% (or even more), discount. I usually look for places with good long term discounts!
@@user-di8hl7vh6z I think now Airbnb has an option to sort by 'good for long stay' or something. But if the owner has a discount, it will just be automatically applied and you should be able to see it in the pricing overview 'monthly discount' I think. - It's also possible to send a message to the owner and ask for a special rate. I'd say this makes sense if you want to stay for more than a month.
@@thenordicadam Same here in Saint-Petersburg. But traveling few times to Bali i realize i'd better spend winter combining Japan+skiing in Europe Alps because hot weather is also just the opposite side of nice-weather-scale
As I have just commented on two of your videos I won’t repeat myself. Food wise, I don’t know what the fuss is about… it’s overly salted and this is why I have totally stopped eating at their restaurants. I am French so I have a different conception of what good food should feel like. If they were not putting so much salt, as they do, in all their dishes, I could probably eat it and feel that it tastes as good as it looks, and why not, as good as food in France does ;)
Hahahah, well, I love both French and Italian food - so I guess I'm the real winner here! :) Thanks for watching and commenting on the videos, William, really appreciate it! Enjoy your trip!

That's a great point. Thanks for sharing!
Why didnt u choose switzerland? Italian is a official language here
@@Pellegrino1 I didn’t choose, I just applied and it happened to be there. Switzerland didn’t have many roles for Junior Mech Engineers

How about Internet speed? 🙏🏽
We had great internet speed! Also on mobile. But I'm sure it can depend on where you'll be staying.
This man knows the real questions! 😂
Italy?! 🇮🇹 this is amazing info dude
I love Italy! I've been there twice and would love to live there.
Italy is fantastic, I really enjoyed living there for a few months! Thanks for watching :)
You should try Romania also, ...
Would love to visit Romania - have never been!
@@thenordicadam Yo will like the experience. Nature, food, people and traditions and I bet you will like affordability :).

Did Airbnb give you a good rate for staying for a month?

Thanks for the quick response. Now I know I do have some negotiation room if I stay in the same flat for a longer duration.
By the way, did the Airbnb description mention about long term discount? Or you just tell them to give you a good price for longer term stay.

Mah man I’m from northern italy and I was searching for a place. This was sad 😒
You should upscale by moving to a country with a higher salary
you mostly travelled south asia because of the weather 😀Yeah bro we are totally sure because of weather 😂🤣🤣
I suppose you haven’t tried living in Denmark during the winter - yes, I traveled to a warm place because of that! 🙏☀️
