      Maajid mohamed if you really want to be an artist, get paper and a pencil and draw every day. All the skills shown in this video start with a foundation of good drawing. I’m sure there are also videos available that show how to draw. If one demo doesn’t help you, look elsewhere, some artists are more showcasing their work than trying to teach. God bless you Maajid, we are made to be creators like Him.

      The human eye is extraordinary at capturing imagery beyond the quality of cameras. The human hand has the most unique set of appendages on its own, and it can be manipulated so precisely to do exactly what you bid. Technology merely follows nature, but it's almost impossible for technology to best it.

    My very favorite thing about your art is how you take it a step past real and make things surreal. I tend to do that too with whatever I do. You said in a video a long time ago something along the lines of there's plenty of mundane in the world or people that want to paint things "as they really are" but that you like to take it a step past that and make it into something a little more dreamlike because that's what art is for and because you can. I have genuinely never related to anything so much in my life. I feel the exact same way and I appreciate your work so much for that aspect.

    • @chuckblackart
      @chuckblackart  4 ปีที่แล้ว +62

      That's amazing, it's so cool to see that other's can relate to that. I'm not entirely sure if I'm able to do that every time, but I think it's something to strive for. Thank you for sharing I appreciate that as well.

  • @2GoatsInATrenchCoat

    This is so dreamlike. It looks so realistic, yet otherworldly at the same time. I literally teared up in awe toward the end, and I never tear up at art or music. I've never understood the appeal of realism, because I always thought "that's what we have photos for" but I take it back now. There's something about this painting that drags a visceral, nostalgic, awestruck emotion out of me that is just indescribable. And I don't even like horses. Amazing.

    I live in Wyoming and you could be painting right here by the local lake. Cool to watch the whole process! I used to paint about 25 to 30 yrs ago. I had reached my goal of realism and stopped painting. I never thought I would see a method that would encourage me to paint again, but here you are! With such beautiful art work on your channel, I may start drawing and then paint again. The only painting I have done in many years, is facepainting on children and adults at large events and parties. Mine are cartoonish these days, but it's just a starting point!
