I actually liked the acolyte tbh…and that plagueis scene was awesome just wish we had more of him honestly though this episode gave us so much including bleeding a kyber crystal though I’d imagine it dofferently this shows needs a season 2 ignore all the haters

Man I am sick of all the negative crap that TH-camrs have been saying about the acolyte. I am 49 yr old hillbilly from Knox county Kentucky. Have been a Star wars fan all my life. I think the show has not been bad at all. Pretty good actually. Just saw the seen where OSHA went dark side I guess. I have never seen that b 4 . Loved it. Have always liked the sith better . Made my night. Really appreciate OSHA acting. Thought she was great.

They landed the hell out of that plane and i never thought they could. They left enough vague with plagueis and Yoda. Answered all the critical questions. I don't need to see how they were created

I doubt there's a season 2... Don't need one, but would love to see it. I hate when they leave so much open ended, like Ashoka did. It took too much to get here, but they hinted at plagueis story and fully wrapped up the relevant story of this season. The acolyte training, and venestra hunting them could carry on the series. Star Wars NEVER answers every question. But, they wrapped up the season.... and we know what happens later. Venestra covered up the Senate situation in that meeting.... Covering the idea of the Sith and allowing the Jedi to go on until the phantom menace.
This was probably the best episode of Star Wars tv outside of Mando S2 finale
Yeah they did. It landed and open up so many possibilities. SW toxic fandom is crying but this is what they need to adjust SW for the good.
The Yoda scene was just the cherry. But sticking to what we know about all the characters... that Mae and Osha scene hits hard... I did not see it coming but I guess EP 3 told us. That was some great writing throughout the series. And in the end, Sol ending was tragic asf wow😲😲💯💯

Great writing? I'm far from a part of the toxic fandom, but cone on!! Mae was talking to Pip like he was her friend, when last episode she didn't give 2 💩💩 about him. The lightsaber shifting colors instantly, even though Anakin was still fighting Obi Wan with a blue lightsaber after killing the younglings. They gave Osha and Mae half of the EU Revan plot without giving us, the audience, the actual EU Revan plot. It's upsetting that the series dragged out as far as it did for the little bit of good at the end. Matrix fighting in Star Wars is one thing, but the only things this series did right were going backwards in the timeline and showing the dark side from a different perspective. It gives me hope that they'll go further back and touch on some Old Republic stuff. Show us the ACTUAL acolytes training at the sith academy on Korriban. Similarly to how they just teased Plagueis, they could have a big, tall, bald guy show up towards the end, who just got sent there from the Army of the Brotherhood of Darkness, Gloom Walkers unit. The EU fans would all know who it is and where it would be going, but it wouldn't just be some figure hiding in the shadows. They could put him in plain sight and 90+% of viewers wouldn't know the reference without internet help. Overall, I enjoyed watching the show. I would've enjoyed it more without any knowledge of EU material, but it was still decent. It wasn't as good as many of the Star Wars shows that have come out and it honestly looked like it was shot in the early 2000s, but the last few episodes kept you pretty well engaged. I just had much higher hopes for something with a title like "The Acolyte"
@@hisandherbroncos610 I can agree that 6 and 8 were the only episode where I enjoyed much of the writing. Rather the dialogue and emotions.... Those are also director issues, and there were several directors. But I stopped reading when you brought up something as trivial as a character talking to a droid that was helping her ass people have done in Star wars since the beginning of time. Not like she told it she loved him.
There is stupid plot things that people never bring up in the boys or game of thrones. And rightfully so.... There were plot holes throughout the regular trio of movies....I mean Luke and ll the princess were clearly meant to be an item in the first 2 until they switched it up.

You stopped reading at that point? Why does that make everything I said after invalid? The point I was making there is she had zero attachment to that droid and didn't even know it's name. It was just a droid that she had reset to factory settings. Yes, people in Star Wars have talked to droids and called them out by name, but they called them out by their serialized nomenclature, such as R2-D2. The droid had no significance to Mae was my point. The fact that she gave it the ol Power Rangers "Brace for impact" just threw the flow of that character off. Different strokes for different folks, I guess

I also didn't watch The Boys or Game of Thrones, so I can't comment there. I agree with the OT comment though, but that's been said by Lucas. We are passed the point of writing the story without clear direction. That was okay when they didn't know it would evolve into the world that it is now. Now that it exists, in its entirety, future content should align with past content.
Poor Ki-Adi-Mundi is left wondering how some could-have-been-an-email middle management meeting he attended decades ago about some Force cultist killing a Jedi means he's some kind if idiot for not realizing the Sith had clearly returned.

Because it's a terrible show that has people changing their minds and actions all the time, first he was against her and now a little later he wants to help her 🤷

I think this is when the sith learns that you can create life using the force. It’s that scene when Qimir was listening to Sol’s monologue.
The only thing we still do NOT know, is: how did Qimir find Mae ?!! After she fell down 16 years earlier and got sucked into that kind of tunnel 😅😅😅
He didn't find her back then. He seems to have found her way later. If he had found her then she would be a full trained sith. He probably found her like a few weeks before the start of the show.

A season 2 is needed. This does not feel complete.
Obviously that's the entire point. They planned a season 2 but with all these dumb fans giving such a negative backlash maybe they will straightup abandon it. But I do hope they don't and we get a new season.
@@marshalbali Yeah. It's a good show. And I'd love for it to continue but I'm happy because the door is open to make some changes to the stagnet franchise.
The only thing I didn't like about this episode is when Mae said "See you in Hell" might have to go up there with "Somehow Palpatine returned"

No anakin was the chosen one but in a way he failed so it was passed to Luke but some say anakin did destroy the sith wen he killed the emperor and still full filled his destiny
This show sucks ass,, seriously, it had potential but in the end, it just was a big pile of shit, not re-watchable at all
It was entertaining, but also frustrating. The Acolyte should've been about a sith acolyte on Korriban at the sith academy. They only gave a brief hint of Plagueis and it didn't really tie to the lore like it should've. They gave it too much of the Revan plot, especially with the whole memory wipe and needing her help to track the other down.
