Hopes for a ceasefire: Biden announces new proposal to end the war

- Hamas says it 'positively views' a ceasefire proposal announced by US President Joe Biden.
He has set out a three-stage roadmap for Gaza, starting with a six-week ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
The proposal also includes the withdrawal of Israeli forces from populated areas of Gaza, and the return of all captives.
