I'm so honoured to have received a personal message from Philip Birch a couple of years before he died. After Radio London, he went on to start & run Piccadilly Radio in Manchester.

Great time to be a teenager. The land based follow ons never quite captured the same spirit.

Thanks for uploading this version. It's far superior in quality over other versions. I met Don Pierson years ago in Eastland Texas. He was a fascinating person and quite the radio visionary and between Big L and SRE he definitely left his mark on radio in the UK.

Coroline was out on the North Sea and on the air 1 week before England. Some how Swinging Radio England's aerial insulators and some of their aerial wire ended up on Caroline. Sad that Ronan O' Rihiley passed away this past April. 20/4/2020. Not sure if Don Person is still around or Tom. Jim Stevens is still around and doing well. Don's son can still be heard on Caroline 648 khz 106.7 meters from time to time. Also Mike Japanskie is doing really well in LA. Know him ans some of his family quite well. Rob. I think your father trained my good friend Allen H. Weiner. He wrote a book about his pirate days some years ago under the name Allen Yoder. He was also a part time fill in Disc Jockey on the Miamigo. He worked with Barry Marsh, Andy Madison, Dave Porter, John Marks, and his two friend the late Dennis Swaggart, and Dr, Jeff Rothstein. Blake Williams, Ric Harris on Laser 558. They took her over from Long Island, NY to Dunnie Cove bay were she was repaired and repainted and the transmitting equipment was modified.

The Marine Offences Bill secured the Tory vote in the following election. Millions of voters could not support Wedgewood-Benn or the Labour Government after taking away their stations. The Labour Government just couldn't stand any form of free enterprise or competition. The Tories got in & immediately formed commercial radio stations.
