Really do love the edit you done on this video and it has really been awesome hanging out with GLovesTrains on the Middlewood Way and enjoy the memories from the day coming back and some parts of the video that still made me laugh. Thank you G, it really been a pleasure collabing with you. Also one small mistake on my behalf, High Lane was opened in 1869, not 1969.
Such a great video Georgia you and Simon complemted one another very well it was informative and interesting great scenery makes you want to do the walk excellent vlog 😊😊
This video feels like a great day out with two lovely people. Awesome video G and excellent work from Cyber too! Nice of that duck to collab with you as well
Hi g, fun video, I have road the route by train in 1965, i worked on the railways for 12 years at guide bridge on goods trains to Yorkshire through the woodhead tunnel, i have walked the route in 2017 and 2019 the walkers are all friendly indeed, plenty of poo xxx❤
I had to pause and collect myself a couple of times; the humour was better than I was expecting. If you ever come to New Zealand, there's a couple of disused railway lines worth talking a walk on, namely Paeroa to Waikino ~ part of the old mainline between Hamilton and Tauranga as well as the Taneatua branch, once part of the East Coast Main Trunk ~ not to be confused with the East Coast Mainline, of course. The Taneatua branch was downgraded to a branchline in 1978 (Kawerau is now the southern terminus) and closed in the early 2000s.
Brilliant G. I could not stop laughing all the way through that. Wow. Ya know it will be a great vid G when Cyber's in it. Lots of facts, disused and actual stations. The Middlewood Way needs me on it at some point.
Great video Georgia, great collaboration with Simon. 👏👍🙂 I first walked the Middlewood Way in 1985 when it first opened, there was no dual carriageway then, alas the last mile into Macclesfield was lost as the dual carriageway was built over the trackbed.
A good round trip is to walk to Mac on the Middlewood Way then back on the Macclesfield Canal. You cannot see it easily these days due to trees but the Middlewood Way passes over the portal to the Disley tunnel on the line from Chinley to Hazel Grove just before you reach High Lane.
This is the greatest collab video I’ve ever watched 😀 you and Cyber defo know how to put a smile on my face G 🙂 and I don’t think I’ve laughed this much in ages 😂
Great video G, you and Cyber make a fantastic collaboration! Please do more together. I wondered whether you had thought about visiting the White Nancy Viewpoint on your visit to Bollington, there's a fantastic view from it especially on a fine day!
@@GLovesTrains Great to unexpectedly meet you while you were filming at Workington Station yesterday, you were clearly very professional in the way you were going about it! Also enjoyed watching Cyber's take on the MW trip, you really must do more together!
Brilliant video! Was great to watch, and this is local to me as well. Middlewood is a nice station, however empty lots of the time. Thanks for the amazing video!
This was absolutely awesome this Vlog GLovesTrains and a absolute honour to collaborate with Simontrains you should both do another disused railway line at some point together again it was very entertaining and Simontrains knowledge is awesome when it comes down to Station history the outtakes at the end certainly made me laugh a lot keep on being awesome my friend and keep up the good work until then take care and stay safe and I look forward your next adventure wherever it may take you
i really enjoyed watching this one you and Simon have picked the perfect weather to do that walk and Middlewood way looks amazing brilliant vlog as always
I've walked the Middlewood way myself from Rose Hill (only as far as Lyme Park) and back. The Rose Hill train, from Piccadilly, used to be a class 101 where the driver had to manually change gear. It had a semi-automatic gearbox
Great vlog G, great that SimOnTrains joined you, knowledge is power (or should that be poo), laughed from start to finish. Stay safe (both of you), looking forward to the next one
What can I say, G. All your vlogs have been absolutely excellent, but this has been one of my favourites so far 👍 I think the collab with Cyber has made this one extra special 07:18 that cyclist probably thought you're both completely nuts lol
So Rose Hill is on a branch of its own - that’s cool, but amazing it survived. Lovely scenery and perfect weather for the walk - thanks for the cheerful vlog ☺️. If you like walking old railway routes, the Wirral Way is worth trying. Links West Kirby to Hooton, though a few sections are now built on. No viaducts I’m afraid, but there are some wonderful views across the Dee estuary to north Wales.
Absolutely Brilliant G, this collab with CyberTrades is hillarous, I couldn't stop laughing the whole way through. XD So much poo on the Middlepoo... I mean the Middlewood way. XD Also the duck having a poo.. classic. XD
This video cracked me up a lot and with my favourite 2 TH-camrs too I loved every bit of it Georgia and I’ll have to see it from Simon’s prospective when he uploads his and the walk looks brilliant apart from the duck crap everywhere 😂 but overall this was great to watch 👍🏻😁!
Thanks for the video G and Cyber made my day with great humour 😀. This is a beautiful walking railway way to walk always good to see the disused stations being looked after, must be very fertile land with all that 💩!!😎🚂🚃🚃🚃🇬🇧💙
Haha! Double SBs at Higher Poynton! And it was good to see you both walk the whole Middlewood Way - it certainly is a very pretty walk and well worth the effort. It's slightly downhill walking to Macclesfield, the other way might be a tougher task. The viaduct at Bollington is particularly special with the views also, certainly was a highlight for me. Great stuff!
Looks like you both had good fun. If your into disused railway lines may I suggest the Silkin Way in Shropshire and the old Tettenhall line in Wolverhampton. Both very good and one has a canal you can walk along side.
The Middlewood Way was opened in 1985. My son and I walked this route in 1997. Obviously still a great route to walk. Rose Hill station is lot smarter now. Our train to Rose Hill had been literally been recovered from a Manchester scrapyard
not walked a dissued railway near me from what would be weatherby linton road along to spofforth even walked a branch line were i could before the enbankment would make-way for an 'outer ring road'
7:48 some nice special effects work - is this the first in your videos. what next ? green screen and you can appear at any station without leaving home :)
Wow, High Lane was short lived! I never seem to actually know where Middlewood Station actually is on a rail map! I've only just realised how much I put Exclamation Marks on the end of my sentences 😂😂😂! oops did it again 😁
Wow fancy that .......G and Si spending a whole day together on the Middlewood Way........surely they'll have to get married now? Good 😊 laugh Guys......hope you'll do more of these.....couple of ideas .....Prestatyn to Dyserth.....New Mills to Hayfield. Stay happy. Geoff.
Freaking hillarious :D Great review! Reminds me of the closed lines over here, in this end of Europe... However, what was the main resaon they've closed the line? By the way, gotta love how Sim0nTrains just yolo'd the return trip :D
