@7:41 Girl I had an internship at a vet office before I had my first job in high school, and I was surprised as how much the ACTUAL VETS used Google. You’re fine
Thank you for making this video!! I’m thinking of making a career change. I recently applied and got a call back to interview for a vet assistant. This video was rather helpful in what to expect.
as a veterinary assistant if you weren’t cross trained would you still be able to pull blood or that’s not in the job description? i just enrolled for a vet assistant program and i’m still learning
I'm about to take my certified veterinary assistant exam and I can't find any videos of people talking about their experience on taking the CVA exam, it would be much appreciated if someone could tell me their experience with passing/not passing the CVA EXAM :))
@@dubb9020 it went good! I did it through ACT, the first test was $50 and I almost past but missed it by 1 question so I took it the same day of and just called and payed $30 for the retake and passed!! I studied 600 questions and only some of them were on the first test, they are all random. But if you don't pass the first test no worries! Take it again! And don't be discouraged!! Good luck!👍
@@jaquelynnlugo8299 im in my early 30s havent been in a class room for 10 plus years , you think somone like me could pass it? also is there pre reqs? like do you have to take an english class and a math class?
@@dubb9020 No there is no pre reqs for the program that I went through. I did it in High school through a program call ROC in Bakersfield, and they accept adults too, you can also do online training through ACT online vet assistant course and cost $150 for the test and $50 for a retake if you don't pass and can take it the same day of! :)
I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was a kid. I think this is good info for anyone looking into this. What’s the craziest animal you’ve had come in? 1st :3 Lol
I only worked with dogs and cats. There were some that were very aggressive so we had to be very careful with those cause they would attack with out warning😯 Thank you for the support🤗🤗
I am recently graduated veterinarian can u tell me if I registered myself in ECVFG so after registration can I come to USA as a vet tech until I give my exams is that possible or I can choose other options like if I can pass my bcse which is first step before navle and after that can they allow me to do as a vet tech Job or I come to USA by just registration in ECVFG
Even as a Veterinary Technician- you have to be in this field because you love it. not because you want a high paying job! thats just how it is.
