In the ever-evolving world of automotive excellence, one name stands out for its commitment to precision, power, and sheer driving pleasure - BMW. I covered the history of the 3 series in another video, so I won’t bore you with that again. But I didn’t touch on the history of the M series, so let’s touch on that quickly…

The first M-badged vehicle, the M1, set the stage in 1978, showcasing BMW's commitment to blending racing technology with road cars. The M3, introduced in 1986, became an icon, dominating the racing circuit and earning its place as a high-performance street car.
The M Series evolved over the years, with models like the M5 and M6 pushing the boundaries of luxury and speed in a single car. The M trim, characterized by its aggressive styling, enhanced performance, and distinctive badging, became synonymous with automotive excellence.
Now, let's fast forward to the present and set our sights on the 2022 BMW M4 Competition xDrive Convertible. This open-top marvel takes the M4 to new heights, combining the raw power of the M trim with the thrill of Top-Down driving.
Under the hood, the M4 Competition Convertible boasts a 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo inline-6 engine, tuned to deliver a staggering 503 horsepower through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission with all wheel drive. All this helps the Competition variant accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.5 seconds.
The M4 Competition Convertible's exterior is a work of art… if you ignore the front… Although it has an aggressive front fascia, and distinctive M badging signaling its pedigree, I feel that the coupe versions lack the aggressive looks of the sedans with its wide wheel arches.
The retractable hardtop not only adds a touch of practicality but also enhances the driving dynamics of the vehicle, allowing you to enjoy your surroundings and that beautiful engine note!
