I own this Gen 5 CRV 2.0 and i totally agree with his comment. It's a reliable, comfortable car for daily drive. Low maintenance, just service max twice a year, owned this car for 2 years and nothing breaks, just fill up the gas and go. I'm 100% city driving in KL and most of my start and stop is short distance.
i like the R20 engine, its more reliable than the 1.5 GDI turbo. my friend who work for honda said that the 1.5 GDI turbo engine have so many problems. the no.1 problem is the intake valve carbon build up as the side effect of the GDI system. being GDI means there is no gasoline sprayed at the intake valve to clean it, plus the PCV and EGR system make the carbon build up worst. many of the crv turbo suffers missfire because of this and should be manually clean the intake valve by opening the intake manifold every 10.000km. oh yeah, the 1.5 turbo engine have oil dilution. honda recomended to change the oil every under 5.000km, even less. many of them suffer turbo failure too.
I really enjoyed your review. I am an uncle, I believed this crv is going to suit me well... first I'm thinking about camry(a used one of course😁), accord, perdana 2017 and now I'm winking at crv... Like you said it is not for show off, for new gadgets etc... I'm a cool uncle's type of driving person.. This is going to be a new partnership for me.. 😂
The price is pretty much the same in Indonesia . I am an gen 3 2.0 user and considering buying this model because R20a is a goddamn most reliable engine amongst all honda engines
Baru almost 3 yrs pakai..i can upgrade to new honda accord by not top up single cents..resale value superb compare to my previous 3 series..no way im goingg bck to any else car..cuz im kind of getting bored in 2 years in any car i bought before..stick to honda
add some more..thereis no cup holder at dashboard..even my second old navara got..and honda shud think about changing the gear knob..irritating. rest ok la
makan street fighter Because this is suv. Heavy car. When u enable econ mode, ur engine will low in performance. So need more force to move such weight, with high rpm. U off that thing, u get bettter fc. Difference from segment B hatchback/sedan.. they are more lighter..

how about the 2021 new facelift of 1.5 turbo, does it have any issue again?

To me, its reliability is the best. NA engine yes less power compared to Turbo but its gives peace of mind. I sold my BMW. Im enjoy life now..

I'm considering this spec also. I think full city drive 8/9km per liter should be ok for this size SUV.
My drive is 11.4km per liter, never floor the pedal. later I do an update review after 1 year

Usually RM88 to RM92, I always pump when got 60kilo left. I use petronas, I heard those who use shell get engine problems

Malaysia fuel price is going down down down, SUV is big car and not recommended for speeding

So, the suspension is same feel comfortable like 1.5 turbo engine...
Suspension is same, since 2.0 is using 17 inch tyres it makes up for more comfort
