    A budget E-scooter with a replaceable battery pack, sounds like a great feature and worth a try.

    I just purchased an Anyhill UM-2. I really like the UM-2's removable battery and its brakes are very powerful. Great value for money! Awesome!

    The scooter looks great in your video. The best design is the hidden battery compartment, may worth the price ($899).

    Most other scooters have other batteries that are replaceable but not as easy of course. I wouldn’t say people should throw them away just because it requires an Allen key to get it out. Please don’t suggest that people throw away their scooter when the battery goes bad. This is wasteful and very bad for the environment.

    • @Electrek
      @Electrek  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Bryan, it's not a suggestion. It's just describing what usually happens. Most people don't have the forethought or ability to replace a battery, and it's not recommend for people to mess around with built-in battery replacements if they don't know what they're doing, as they could hurt themselves or others. So most budget scooters simply never get battery replacements at end of life.

      @@Electrek I have an ebike repair shop(out of my garage) and I replace batteries all the time. But yeah I understand your point. Wish more places would fix em rather than trash em.

    I have what may be a simple question. If you go a distance beyond battery range will any kick scooter act like the old fashioned scooters. Meaning, can you just kick peddle the scooter home or will the wheel motor cause too much drag?

    • @zrogon
      @zrogon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      you can kick, scooter itself is heavier, but that's the only limitation.

    What happened did you run out of tape😂😂we want more👍🏽 anyway, even though i just bought the Dualtron City, im looking for a lightweight scooter that i can just throw in my car, or jump on to check the mail quickly. Is this the one?? Do u recommend this, i did have the Gotrax G4 but i gave it away to one of my viewers. Love the removable battery👍🏽

  • @jaccamara3862
    @jaccamara3862 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    My ass you're getting 25 miles on a 320Wh battery. This is a cool scooter though. Still think you're better off with an e-Twow Booster GT. 504Wh, and SUSPENSION, motor on the front with one of the best e-brakes in the business. Drum on back, better setup, 24-28mph depending on which version. Real actual 20miles of range. Doesn't have a removable battery, but it only weights 28lbs, so you can pick it up and take it anywhere.
    oh, and FOLDING HANDLEBARS, which everyone seems to forget about.
    I can't figure out why no one seems to want to compete with this thing.

    • @NJturtlePower
      @NJturtlePower 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So more expensive, lower weight capacity, smaller wheels, smaller foot deck pad and no study kickstand?
      With the current $80 on Amazon coupon the Anyhill UM-2 is almost $200 LESS.

    • @jaccamara3862
      @jaccamara3862 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NJturtlePower that deck is larger, but my size 10.5 Extra wides fit just fine on a booster. Weight capacity on a booster is 275, this says 265-300, so basically the same.
      It does have a kickstand you looked at a booster V. And yes it's more expensive, you're paying for portability and years of tweaks to get the best pound for pound scooter on the market. And don't downplay the difference between 19 and 24mph.

      @@jaccamara3862 anyhill gives 17 miles of range, using on full speed with a few hills in the mix. carry an extra battery in the bag, and you can double that range.
