Thanks Tim..in these days of streaming and who knows whatever else sources of digital music, it's still nice to have physical entities to spin on a turntable, read sleeve notes and admire the artwork on covers. I appreciate your interest and compliments. Dave.
Thanks Mark..glad you love the blues. If you are further interested I've also posted my top 20 blues cds.at that time. Internet radio is a fantastic source of blues music both old and new. Take care my friend.Dave.
Thanks for this - I'm just investigating the blues, jazz & classical on here & elsewhere to add some different genres to my record collection / fill in gaps. I appreciate the tips & will check out your other videos asap. I appreciate your reply, Dave.
Hi Jeff, thanks for your comments. Glad you found the video of benefit. Check out "Dave's Top 20 Blues Cd's" also on YT. A terrific source of discovering blues artists is an internet radio. Some of the stations from the USA and Argentina are excellent. Dave.
Hi Dave, real great collection of vinyl, I came across this after watching your 2 guitar kit builds. Nice work and some great tips for us builders / enthusiasts. knowing you are a blues enthusiast , have you come across this video of Duke R and SRV in Austin Texas 1988 ? have a listen, awrrabest ! from Broughty Ferry
Hi Les, and thanks for your nice comments on the guitar build videos. Thanks for alerting me to the Duke/SRV/KW video. An amalgamation of Double Trouble,The Pleasure Kings and The Fab.T'birds. It doesn't come much better than that! Wish I had a millionth of their playing prowess. Great to hear from you. Stay safe in these crazy Coronavirus times. Dave.
Darin,..hi.I was lucky enough to see PG in Fleetwod Mac in Edinburgh in the mid 60's. Albums which followed like Mr Wonderful, and Pious Bird of Good Omen were in similar vein and amongst my favourites even to this day. PG is still going as you'll know and I've supported his efforts throughout the years but some of its been a bit disappointing. His Splinter Group stuff is OK but kinda tame in comparison to his earlier years. Thanks for watching and commenting. Dave... ps. sorry if used your surname to reply! Guess it's John.
@@davidmitchell8490 Wow that's crazy! What do you remember about the concert? I found a concert at Usher Hall October 1, 1969? Was that the one you saw?
@@darinjohn1058DJ hi, sorry for this tardy reply to your question about the gig. It could well have been that same one, not absolutely sure because I also went to see John Mayall in Edinburgh around about that time (July 1969) of his "Turning Point" album release which I seem to recall was maybe held in the long defunct cinema which was situated at the foot of Lothian Road. I know they weren't held in the same venue so the Usher hall in Oct.'69 for F Mac. could well be right. I also saw Rory Gallagher in the Usher Hall I think it was?...my God that was excruciatingly loud!! More recently, Joe Bonamassa in the UH a few years ago. I'm 70 this year (2019) so memory going back to '69 is a bit hazy. All the best. Dave.
Ari,hi...In the interests of speeding through the collection I necessarily had to place them on the floor temporarily but rest assured all the vinyl is in mint condition including the sleeves. None of the albums have ever been played on anything other than my own Linn Sondek turntable (note the framed Linn "Hear No Evil"poster on the wall) on my left as you view. Glad you enjoyed the video and thank you very much for your interest. Long live vinyl and the Blues. Dave.
Great collection enjoyed the video.
Thanks Colin. Nice to hear from you. Dave.
Great stuff Dave

Thanks for sharing some of your blues collection, Dave - interesting video.
