Of course Digital has to make it sort of weird. LOL. Can I go grab a router on my way to my gig tomorrow and try this out. Thank you for the video - I definitely would’ve got tripped up without it.
Great video! Connecting an ipad stumped me for a long time. Have you figured out how to connect more than 1 at a time? Re subnet masks, you can set the mask on the router to anything that opens up the available IP addresses to within range of both the router's address and the console's address. A subnet mask of 255.255.0.0 opens it up completely so that any address between 192.168.. is available. Not all routers have this capability though, especially some of the cheaper DLink units, so it might be a bit of trial and error and going back to the store to return the one you just bought for a more "industrial" one. I have a WavLink dual band router/AP that is quite powerful (0.5W), "Aerial HD2-AC600"; I have never had Wifi issues with this unit in a variety of venues. My console's address is 192.168.6.168 and my routers are all 192.168.10.1, so I have used a subnet mask of 255.255.240.0 which opens up the range of 192.168... Your mileage may vary... Cheers!
@@rayaudio9792 That's true! I also discovered the non-multiple ipad thing too. Sadly, I also just discovered that having the router's subnet mask the way it was broke all the other devices' communications with our ipads (Shure wireless, Meyer Galileo, etc). Don't have time to troubleshoot right now, not sure what is going on. Interesting about the OSC commands, how is that set up in the desk?
Its a cat5 from the network port to the router, exactly as you would with a computer. Just need to make sure you have 'enable network' selected in the options tab on the master screen and your router will provide DHCP.
Hi, i have a digico sd11, same engine and when i connect the console with a router, (set it up correctly) the lan board doesn't lit and xp says lan cable not connected. Do you know? Thanks
Thanks so much for this! Swapping the send and receive is what got me as well. Cheers!
Awesome video, got me up & running with my SD12 in no time:).
Getting an SD9 soon. Please do a video on assigning outputs to racks and a matrix L-R to rack

All you cannot connect more than one iPad through this process. You can add more by using OSC commands and touch OSC through up to 16 iPads.

Would you mind to show how you make the wire connections to the router from the board

Have you got the network enabled in the console options window from the master screen?
How to save show files on digico
Thanks in advance
Hello, was wondering is there a way to connect multiple iPads ?
Not through this method. It can be done with third party OSC apps.
You lost me at rooter :P
