I’m curious, do the 2 scions grafted so close together grow together into a single branch? If not, do you eventually have to remove one?

    Planted it three weeks ago.
It’s now winter in San Diego CALIFORNIA USA SO IM WSITING TO SEE IF I HAVE ANY LIFE still in it. I didn’t see a button to subscribe to your channel

Hello! In different regions, the climate is different, so it is better to focus not on the month, but on the condition of the plants. In my experience, the success rate is higher when the scion is still dormant and the rootstock is just starting to wake up. Then the scion will first grow together with the rootstock, and only then will it begin to form leaves and shoots. Otherwise, the death rate is high. It is advisable to choose a season before the onset of heat, on a cool morning.
You can use scions stored in the refrigerator for grafting - they are sleeping. Many gardeners believe that it is possible to graft all year round, but with varying success rates.
In my hot climate, I tend to do this in the spring, usually early March.
      Sincerely,
      Figs in Israel.

Hello! Khurtamni (not Red Israel) is an old local fig variety with figs of medium size, medium yield and very sweet taste. The pulp is honey, the skin is tender.
      Sincerely,

Hello! Thanks for the greeting! I also wish success and prosperity to all gardeners in Morocco!
I do these graftings in March, already now, because figs in Israel are already waking up. Sap flow has already begun in some bushes, the cambium is active. The heat hasn't arrived yet; this is the best time for vaccinations. Scion cuttings can be cut from the tree if the leaves have not yet appeared. It is best for the buds to still sleep. You can use cuttings that have been stored in the refrigerator. They manage to grow together with the rootstock before their buds open. Graftings can be done at other times, but the success rate will be lower.
      Sincerely,
      Figs in Israel

      Hello!
No, 2 scions do not grow together. If they both grow vigorously in the future, you can leave both. If one of them grows weakly, then it is removed.
      Sincerely,
      Figs in Israel
