I did such a good job flying under the radar the drill sergeant asked me who I was and if I was there the whole time in like the last week of basic 😂.
Jacob2581 damn how?
Share your method!
Simple, do everything they tell you and don’t mess up. The less you mess up, the less chance you’ll get called out. Also don’t volunteer for anything and don’t talk much.
Lol
Same I was at the forge and he asked if I was in his platoon
Here's the summary:
1. Don't pack excessive stuff for basic training; only bring what you need.
2. Get a good night's rest before leaving for reception, as the first day at basic training can be physically and mentally demanding.
3. Be mindful of the people you associate with; avoid troublemakers, as drill sergeants observe and judge the group dynamics.
4. Basic training is a temporary phase; keep in mind that everything has an end, which can help endure the challenging moments.
5. There are two approaches to basic training: flying under the radar or embracing leadership roles. Choose what suits your goals and personality.
6. If you want to be a leader, volunteer for leadership positions, score well in PT tests, and make it known that you are willing to take on responsibility.
7. If you want to fly under the radar, avoid drawing attention to yourself, don't volunteer excessively, and try not to be in the spotlight.
8. When dealing with homesickness, try not to dwell on it too much; focus on the tasks at hand and get immersed in the training, as it will help time pass more quickly.
Thanks a lot
Leave tomorrow. God give me strength 💪
And how is it?
You'll be out soon! Good on ya brother.
How did it go?
@@royalbloodlinewarriorblood1474 He died.
Hayden McC how was basic training ?
Basic Training is your first opportunity to excel with three weapons: Grenade, Rifle, Machinegun. Maximize on achieving EXPERT, these badges will be displayed on your Class A (dress uniform). The APFT is your greatest achievement during BT - strive for the highest score possible. Also, be proactive in developing personal soft skills COMMUNICATION is your strongest interaction skill. Leaders are recognized by being SELFLESS, helping your mates (those asking for it, and those struggling with tasks), do not worry about being seen as "goody two shoes" or "wanna be", your DI/DS will see it, recognise it, even refer other enlistees to you on case by case basis.
Love your comments, except that (thumbs down) one.. But It's ok I also agree with you in a way on that.
Is there no pistol training? Im amazing with a handgun and was hoping to shine there oh and is there any knife or any martial arts?
Monday's insanity I think in Mossad academy.
mmmmm grenade. yeah :)
I flew under the radar by volunteering to be a row guard. The red vest kept my nameplate covered whenever we were in formation.
I graduated OSUT in February but damn I never thought of that! Very smart my guy

I’m currently waiting on my moral waiver my battalion commander is the guy over the Puerto Rico mission so he’s never in office but he just got back today so hopefully tomorrow or Monday I’ll talk with him and he can approve my waiver. Been waiting about 2 months. Now granted 1 week was hurricane Irma and then last week up until yesterday he was in Puerto Rico. Now after the interview and it gets approved I’m off to MEPS and then it’s a departure date! But shootemup89 do a video on moral waiver and why they are needed and how long they take!

August 26, 2020. Currently almost 3:30 in the morning. First flight on my itinerary towards Ft. Jackson is at 0900 and I cannot sleep... the time leading up to this day went by so fast and since I am going into the Army as an active duty 25Q soldier, I already know that I will not see my family in what will be a very long time. I'm ecstatic and a little nervous to start this new chapter of my life. Wish me luck guys. :)

Can you make a video how to get into airborne and rangers and such if airborne isnt in your contract
Andrew St. Pierre Airborne and Air assault are voluntary schools, tabs that must be renewed yearly. Ranger is a disciplined school with specific job titles, something you talk to your recruiter. Of course, you can volunteer for Ranger school after serving for awhile, however, speaking a foreign language will give you an edge. It's preferred, too.
Or if you have trubbels being away from home and miss your mommy. Stay out.
Maurice Matla are you ok?
I know this is a 3 year old video, but if anyone else reading this with same question - if it’s not in your contract, 99.99% of the time you won’t get jump school (or Air Assault). The only .01 percent of the time where you might get to volunteer during BCT to go to jump right afterwards if someone else wants to get out of jump and a slot opens. The Army couldn’t care less you want to jump, they just want slots filled. The fine print is “needs of the Army”, so if you have an open contract, it’s very hard to get jump right after BCT. Most likely you’ll have to wait until it’s time to re-enlist to get jump as an incentive to re-up. Bottom line, if you want something, get it in your contract! My first contract included jump, guaranteed 82nd, and ACF. After my first enlistment with the Army, I’d ultimately go into the Air Force, retiring from the Air Guard. Each time it came time to re-enlist, took advantage of incentives so had plenty of bonuses, student loan repayments, and even an F-16 ride.
Today's the day...
Good luck!
i leave next tuesday and broooo. your videos are exactly what i needed. Thank you So much sir.
I ship out tomorrow. I’ve been so scared about leaving currently 18 and the first family member to join the military. I currently miss my family members so much

How was it
Do we get our phones back at any time burring basic training? I understand we are not allowed to have them while doing PT or marches, i am just wondering do we ever get them back to use in out own time?

Leaving tomorrow for Ft. Jackson!
This video seriously helped me plan. I think my struggle will be the last one because I think often and about everything and I’ve never been able to turn it off. I’ll have to seriously work on being in the moment and not ten years in the future
How'd it go
I leave next Tuesday...fort Jackson🤪🤪🤦. I'm excited n nervous but ready
Shayna Peeples relaxion jackson!
Thanks for this video. I will be leaving on the first Monday of January 2019. Your videos have been my help in preparing for BCT.
Leave for Fort Jackson tomorrow. Thank you for all the great videos!
Nathan Roth i leave June 17th to fort jackson
Leaving on Sunday.! Thanks for this video.!
Being first and going for that Army Achievement Medal will not pay off unless you plan on trying to be hardcore your whole career. AAM is a very easy medal to get. I'd recommend never be first and never be last. Because so much also depends on your units you also end up going to after basic.
The best leaders I had were very down to earth people that got promoted naturally. Take that how you all want. So much varies with personality and life after basic training.
I ship out for basic and then OCS later this month, so I’m expecting the instructors will except more from me. My hope is that it will be like working as a C.O. in Corrections where sure I steer clear of the troublemakers and don’t trust my stuff and secrets with my co-workers, but we still can count on each other to work as a unit when it hits the fan. Wish me luck!
Leaving Monday thanks for the videos
Do you get any bonuses/perks for graduating top of your basic training class?

ship out November 5th for Paris island can't wait
Would you say these tips apply the same way to those going into the Army National Guard?
Yes, its army basic training, both go together. Theres no "active duty army basic training" and no "army national guard basic training". Just "army basic training"
4:32 matt.exe has stopped working
Leaving tomorrow 💯. Thank you for this
@Angie Ball it’s going great actually, thanks for asking. Basic training wasn’t bad tbh, u just always need to remind urself why ur there and u will get thru it. Ur days there literally are numbered. Just remember ur not alone and u will end up making some great friends along the way. AIT was pretty pleasant but the real army has been a great experience. And more importantly, never take anything that the nco’s say to heart. It’s a pressure tactic and nothing more 💯
I’m 32 and fixing to join the Army NG! How does the old folks get treated? Any differences?
Daniel Beck how did it go for you? Curious to see how did you do and what your biggest challenge was
