I am not saying that the Palestinian problem is not important because it is. Too many innocent Palestinians have been harmed in the Israeli military operations in Gaza. However, this is a time when ALL democracy-loving Americans should be united in ensuring that as many Democrats are voted to elected positions in the coming election. Who believes that the Palestinian people will have a better chance of surviving if a Republican becomes president or if Congress is again dominated by the GOP? This is not a game. Unfortunately, from what I have seen and heard, young people want the war in Gaza to stop, yet they never mention or seem to realize, that while civilians are bearing the brunt of the deaths, it was their OWN leadership that ignited that war to begin with. And Hamas has already stated attacks like Oct 7 will continue to happen, regardless of what Israel does. So in demanding that ceasefire, are young people pretty much saying they support Hamas attacks on Israel, and when Israel strikes back, they approve of Hamas using their OWN people as human shields? But when asked these questions, younger folks, don't have an answer.

The Denver Post is reporting that Denver Health is near the breaking point and that it cannot survive more illegal aliens. According to the report, it ended 2022 with a $35 million deficit. Although the books aren’t quite closed on 2023, the deficit was even worse last year. The only reason the hospital survived was because it got $20 million from the state, Kaiser Permanente Colorado, and private donors.
Overall, in 2023, the hospital failed to receive payment for $136 million in services provided to illegal aliens. This amount included the gap between what the hospital charged Medicare versus what Medicare actually paid. Unfortunately for Denver Health, fewer than 15% of its patients have private insurance, which pays a greater percentage of the fee charged than Medicare does !Q!Q!
Because Denver Health is a public hospital, its CEO, Donna Lynne, spelled out the hospital’s dire financial state in a public appearance before the Denver City Council’s finance and government committee.
