    Hi Mack4ttack
    Good to hear your have a new arrival on it's way.
    In answer to your question...no I never experience distortion with this Combo, it retains it's True natural Bass tone on what ever level it's at and yes I still use it and Love it. I am an All Hartke guy when it comes to Bass Amps and Combos, simply because I have never found better....well, in my ears anyway.
    Enjoy your new KB12 and don't have it too loud as you might just take your roof off 😁

    Great demo and as mentioned before, thank you for not “slapping da bass” , it’s nice to see someone doing a demo that has chops and knows how to actually play.
    I regularly gig with my Hartke KB15 and it’s awesome for just about every room I’ve used it in with all the fairly loud rock cover bands I’m in.
    I also have a Hartke HD15 as a little home practice amp,,,, I just ordered the KB12 to use as a rehearsal amp and a backup gig amp in case my KB15 ever dies at a gig.
    Thanks again for the great demo,, Cheers, Davyo.

      Nice to hear from you Davyo... thank you for your comments, I was "Umming" too much on the video, (Apologies) but I'm a player not a trained actor ' as you can tell..haha'... but I'm glad it helped you in some way... All the best 🎸

      @@BISCUITANDBASS since I last posted a comment on your video I have also now added the Hartke HD500 combo to keep my KB15 and KB12 company.
      And also added a Hartke LX8500 amp head to power my Gallien Kruger Neo 212 cabinet,, I guess I’m kinda a fan of Hartke gear and Gallien Kruger as well.
      Nice to hear back from you, Cheers, Davyo

    Great demo! I'm gonna grab myself one of these. 28 pounds and 500 watts for this 65-year-old are numbers that definitely add up!

      It can hold it's own well with a full band set up Mohammed, but if you want a little extra out front I would suggest also going through a PA, although I have used it with a drummer who told me he was a really Loud player, and 3 songs into the set asked me if I could turn it down a tad from 6 on the volume.

    Great review!!!!
    Two questions. For jams in pubs or small places, the KB12 would have enough power without connecting to PA?
    Between the KB12 and Fender Rumble 100 wich one would you choose and why?
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards!!!!

      Hi Antolin
      Thanks for the message.
      I have tried every Bass Amp/ Combo in my 33 years of experience, and have only ever used Hartke in every rehearsal/home practice & gigs during the last 15 years...Simply because I personally manually believe they are the best in all area's.
      The KB12 is quite capable of holding it's own in any small Pub/Club... but I did also go through a PA at the band's requirements, so as to get a nice overall band sound.... and it's always best to have back up, just in case.
      The Fender Rumbles are great too, but I will always go for Hartke every time.
      Cheers 🖒😉🎸

      @@BISCUITANDBASS Hello,
      one last question before buying the KB12. Using a passive bass, would the lack of gain control be a problem?
      Will it be necessary to use a preamp for the passive bass to have good volume if doesn't have a gain control?
      Thank you very much in advance.
      Best regards!!

    • @BISCUITANDBASS
      @BISCUITANDBASS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@antolin22 I never use Gain when playing Bass Antolin, so it's never been an issue for me. That's why I love Hartke gear as it gives me the Best Bass tones I can get without any " Middle man sound' combinations.
      Of course additional pedals could be added should you require.
      Cheers 😉

      Hi Anthony, I guess it's just comes down to a matter of personal choice.
      They are both of equal power but I choose the 12 inch myself simply because of it's slightly smaller size and weight with regards to the KB models.
      I have used 15 inch speakers in the past but I much prefer the sound of 10 or 12 inch speakers for less Boom and more tonal clarity.....Just my opinion of course, either way you can't go wrong with either The KB12 or the 15.

      @@BISCUITANDBASS Your absolutely right and to boot if you play for larger rooms and crowds it still makes a superior lightweight stage monitor. I brought one for my bassist and my practice room/recording studio. Everyone comes through the PA anyway and it is just a stage monitor at this point. It is a charm for small diner restaurants and clubs.

    hi buddy ;) thank you ! i was looking for a KB since long time . it is the 500w ?
    im wondering if it is enough powerful for a gig ? thank you !

    • @BISCUITANDBASS
      @BISCUITANDBASS  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Havana, yes it is indeed 500 Watts and will be plenty enough to compete in an average gig situation, i.e. in a Club or Pub type venue. Of course if you are looking at a larger type of gig it would be advisable to also go direct from the Combo through the Mixer/PA System to get that extra clout.
      Thanks for the querie and I hope this helps you.

    • @BISCUITANDBASS
      @BISCUITANDBASS  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David, I have tried the Mark Bass and there is nothing wrong with them, but in my opinion the tone and quality of Hartke equipment is just second to none.... across the board, and you will also probably find the KB12 to be at least £200.00 GBP cheaper than the Mark Bass CMD 121P.

      Richard
      I have had no "Buzzing" issues at all, but I guess if you pushed it all the way to "10" there is the distinct possibility that all hell could break loose, haha...but of course that is likely to happen with any speaker configuration and there should never be a reason to push a cab that hard as you probably already know.
      There is plenty of power to be had using the KB12 at sensible level and with the direct out option the combo can also run through a Mixer/PA to give you any extra that you may need.
      I hope that helps ;-)
