- Shandur Polo Festival is one of the biggest and unique festivals in Pakistan. This festival is held from 7 to 9 July every year on Shandur Pass in Ghizer District of Gilgit Baltistan. The polo match is played between the teams of Chitral District and districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, is a *free-style game.
Organized and financed by the Tourism Corporation of KPK, the tournament is held on Shandur Top, the highest polo ground in the world at 3,700 meters (the pass itself is at 3,800 meters). The festival also includes Folk music, dancing and a camping village is set up.
*Free-styled mountain polo is arguably polo in its purest form. This version of the game played at Shandur-Top has attained legendary status and is of great interest to international and domestic adventure tourists alike. There are no umpires and there are no holds barred. The rules are: There are no rules! In "The Roof of the World".

Hey! This looks amazing. How do you get a ticket to the olo festival and how much does it cost? Do I need to pre-book it?
You need a tour operator to book your trip because there are no hotels and all. It's a tent city during the festival and it happens in July. As far as I know, there aren't ticket costs for the game but only while entering the national park. I would suggest contacting KP Tourism or any private tour operators taking the group because you need all arrangements not just a ticket to see the game.
