When I was in college, I lived in an efficiency apartment. I had a neighbor that was a truck driver like you Dauminique. I would sit outside and read my books. He would come outside and we would talk. He invited me and my girlfriend to ride with him to pick up dirt and drop it off. We guess he needed company. Your video brought back memories, driving through the towns looking at the people and the sites it was cool. Thanks.
Anytime you have to work in Seattle, you should be paid a hazardous duty bonus. Keep on trucking. I used to drive a Mack with a pup very similar to the guy behind you on your second load. The steerable dolly was great most of the time. The turntable lock didn't work at Waste Management in Seattle dumping contaminated soil. Darn hard to keep everything lined up to get the pup back to the pile.
Hello Frank, I feel your pain! I used to haul chemical B trains from North Vancouver to Portland and had to drive through Seattle and Tacoma and thought it was crazy.
I wonder Daum how many of your viewers know what talent it takes to keep the pup in line while backing with that long tongue. Back in the day when Overdrive magazine was promoting large-kar rodeos I would always win backing doubles.
Many moons ago, early 70's, I was on a joint venture storm water separation project. We got permission to shut down the intersection of 15th NW and Market in Ballard on a Sunday. I had excavated halfway through the intersection and blew a hydraulic line on the excavator. Not a pleasant experience. I can't remember how I got a new line on a Sunday. Yes Ballard is an experience.
I’ll tell you what, those pups are interesting. You never see dump truck and pup setup like that here in NC. Or at least I never have. I’ve only been driving for three years, so not the most experienced in the world, but I’ve never seen one. Very cool.
Love the sound of your truck. Your equipment is always so awesome looking . Who ever specked that truck out when they ordered it new big time what they were doing . You made a perfect choice in equipment buying that Rig . Looks like they at least used the right size rock on there entrance , not to small to get stuck in your treads and flung into traffic and not to big to get stuck between your duals. 👍🏻
I hated having to go around the block, but with traffic and lights, and a lot of trucks on the haul it is inevitable. It can be very frustrating when you think you will be able to get in to the excavator and a another truck swoops in out of no where...Great camera work! Great attitude you have!
I like the split screen and dump clock, you are a heck of a driver getting in and out of those narrow streets and great video keep up the good work God bless from GA and stay safe and fsc will be at truck show with green apu
Got all those dump trucks going around in a circle. Has to be nerve racking for the drivers wanting to get in and haul away loads. Even though you get paid the same to do circles, most drivers want to be hauling than driving in circles 😂
Dom really cool cam views. I like the split screen ones, also the sped up sound track. Look out Hollywood! Dom budding to b next producer of latest trucking movie! Have fun at mats . I've been there couple of times . Louisville is cool town. I live in Cleveland Ohio 7 hrs north of there .
Oh wow please include more outside shots of exculator loading your truck watch dirt fly is very rewarding and inspiring...DOMONQUE you even got three comments out of us too LOL😢😮😢🎉😂
Riding/shopping with Daominique is like going on a mini vacation. Especially with her personality and maturity as a successful resourceful young woman. -- What are the load & dump clocks for?
Nice work we run very similar tippers in Australia different axle group we don't use the drop axle or spazzy axles on tippers have a look at the truck and trailer setups we run definitely our draw bar is a lot shorter in A frame configuration I enjoyed watching thank you
I have heard many people say awe driving is easy. Ya till you have to do it. I slept so good last night because I ran my excavator that day. I wonder myself how sitting and running the excavator tired? I sit on cushions and my tail bone is sore. When I drive my truck all day the same I am tired. Tough work for sure. I use to hang sheet rock for a living well that was 40 years ago but I do not remember being tired sore maybe.
I moved to the 3 lakes area 6.5 years ago from Arizona. I worked in the construction world for over 20 years there...too darn hot for this old guy. The trucks used up here are much different. Dumps with trailers behind had to dump the truck, go back to the trailer. The box from the trailer was transfered to the box on the truck...then dumped. After dumping the box was then slid back onto the trailers. Single dumps and concrete trucks had a piggyback axle they'd lower behind the truck. All the long dumps dumped from behind. Most of the long boxes here seem to be side dumps. You must use a "dirt broker" to schedule your loads? I've also noticed most loaded trucks aren't covering their loads...is that required? Our family has replaced 4 windshields...conditions are so different between Arizona and here. Where I lived, 7 inches of rain was a wet year. We've averaged 65 inches at the house...I mostly love it. Love watching. Be well, stay safe.
Good to see you got your dump truck out working I like watching all your videos you drive your truck and trail very good plus you never get your truck stuck on any of the jobs you do and the dump sites looking forward to seeing may more of your videos
Wow we use 30 semis to load 6000 tons 3F on a barge, distance is about 7 miles from the quarry to pier, usually takes us about 8 hours at 25 ton a load, about 11 loads a semi, my math is probably off though, truck's start to get signed out about 2!
That's gotta be a long day up and down the 5 ,I used to drive line haul and when leaving Vancouver B.C. I'd always go early enough to get past Seattle and Portland before the morning rush hours
Don't you have to tarp cover your loads? Here in Colorado Springs it's a $75 fine each load, so on your rig it would be $150. Learned that the hard way with a Transfer Dump...
used to do long-haul work, this video brought back memories of trying to get 75 feet of semi-trailer through places that really weren't set up for long vehicles... how do you get away with not covering the load? that's a big fine in my part of Alberta, it's considered an 'unsecured load' even if the load height is lower than the 'cargo box wall'...
I have worked in coal mining and nickel mining at PT. Hillcon, PT. Terimega Bagun Persada, PT. Karya Bukit Mandiri, and others, maybe with your help I can work there even though it's not in mining I'm willing ☺️🙏
So you're saying you couldn't take a left right there on Market St. follow the bus route that loups back the same direction about a 1/2 mile down (done it in my semi) and hit the suicide lane with your flashers? That's just crazy. I block lanes, park on sidewalks, in suicide lanes and even straight-up double park and I've been told I "can't" but, nothing came of it other than an upset karen 😂😂😂
I live in California and by far the majority of dump trucks here are the ones that the trailer slides in the truck to dump. I’ve noticed that the majority of the trucks in your videos are your type. I’m wondering why, is it different laws in the two states or is one type preferable for certain jobs? Have you driven both
Love how the dozer pushes it all away in one pass.
Haha yup
Absolutely love the dump cam. And you're exactly right. Its hourly who cares. From western NY. Love running pup work.
Thanks

“Check your blind side…” or like in Redmond (Microsoft job) when that guy stepped off the curb after the tractor, trailer killed him.

Even my wife caught that missed shift. Great video though.

That dump site looks very familiar. I may or may not have tipped a trailer over their while you were dumping next to me. 😁Good video Niqi!

Ballard to Marysville! That is some expensive fill...
Wow! do you have to bid the job in accordance with how much extra fuel you use? Haha!. Take care. Todd Konoske the retired trucker.
Be safe out there I live in quilcene wash and I saw someone wearing one of your sweatshirt and they told me that they ordered on your website
Glad you got paid for the riding around the block by the hour
That traffic and tight roads was insane
Ballard is actually pretty easy.

I would love to c your foot work some day when u driving
dozer prob wanted you to wait to dump your truck until he was backed up lol
He has a CB, He would have said something.
My dad is doing that run!!
The dump clock and the load clock does that help u know how many hours ur going to get paid. And does that help keep track of hours too?
Just yesterday I haul 6 loads of mud

great video how far do you haul each load . nice camera view from the truck and trailer

How do you know when you are 90degrees to the dump trailer? Do you feel it hit the trailer hitch bar or just stop shy of hitting it every time?
