    Amazing tips and great editing as usual! Was wondering:
    How important is it to have a minimum viable product or front end before finding a cofounder?
    How do you build up trust with your cofounder?
    How do you know if your cofounder is as committed as you are? What do you do if you find out that they are not as committed?

      In my case, I already had an MVP before I met Vitalii - which gave me more credibility when we met. But you don't need to have one if you want to find a cofounder who's down to build the MVP with you (they should be!).
      And trust with your cofounder is like building trust with any life partner! It takes integrity, honesty, and lots of open communication that really can't be rushed. It just takes time...
      And re: figuring out their commitment level - you kind of just "know" by their actions. Are they as hyped up as you? Are they putting in the work like you are? You can just feel it - and if they're not, then you need to have an open conversation with them to try to dig into whether it's a temporary thing or just not a good long-term fit!
      Hope that all helps!!

      @@jayhoovy Great advice! Thank you so much, would really appreciate your thoughts on finding co-founders who have similar skillsets/strengths.
      Is it wasted? As I was thinking of scaling by having a cofounder work on a separate business segment that is semi-connected

    Keep up the good work. I'm very excited for the future of this channel. Would be great to know if you have any advice on how to find potential investors for your startup. John, can you please walk us through how you secured funding? I know there's no standard recipe for that, but would love to learn more about the best practices. Oh I almost forgot, let's go blue devils!

    THIS IS GREAT! How much time did you spend with Vitalii before you decided to work together? Would love to hear more on this! Looking for my cofounder for my idea and I’m torn how I want to approach it - starting as casual meetups to get to know each other VS directly pitching the idea to someone I have never met

    • @jayhoovy
      @jayhoovy  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      We spent a month "trial period" together! Why not dual track it re: casual vs. direct pitching? You can do both at the same time! Basically, once you meet someone who you think is a good fit, start pitching em! And at the same time, if you see someone with a great background, reach directly out!

    Hi John, would like to know more about how your Stanford MBA experience helped you with founding Stan. Reason why I ask is because I have read Shoedog and found out how Phil Knight got the idea for a running from a paper he was writing. Appreciate it to see a video on that, might be some value there :)
