Shonen Knife performs an encore at a summer concert under the Levitt Pavillion at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA. (No copyright claimed.)
I sneaked away from work (night shift!) to see Shonen Knife supporting Nirvana at the Glasgow QMU in 1991 as I was a huge fan and wanted to bootleg them! Once they were finished I switched off my tape recorder and buggered off back to my crappy security job as I wasn’t that bothered about Nirvana at the time! I think Kurt would have approved! Although if I’d known then how massive Nirvana would become I’d have stayed and taped them too!
@@terrypussypower That's a cool ass story bro. I am in the process of having this band (and others) play at my sons Bar Mitzvah next year. Just hoping it happens!!
@@indyracingnut You should try and get The Vaselines! Kurt was such a huge of them that he named his kid after singer Frances McKee! Lots of people think it was actress Frances Farmer but it wasn’t. I know this because Frances was my brother’s girlfriend in 1991! That’s how I got into that gig, ‘cause she put me on the guest list as The Vaselines were also playing!
Props to the one who videoed and uploaded
The drummer is amazing
Sort of like a Japanese female Jimmy Chamberlin .

Me too!!!!
And they do it without any sexual overtones (or undertones) and no vulgarity. Just happiness.
Kurt Cobain himself was a HUGE fan of this band.
