Steve Barnard was definitely the best choice of drummer for that band, he was flawless with them, seen them live twice and he was just brilliant. Met Joe and Steve the second time and both lovely people

...with the second solo a close second. The good thing about that is that this doesn't matter at all. Still great Rock'n' Roll because they mean it! Attitude ist everything.
@@kevinflynn9331 I'm a 58 year old who has been a massive fan of The Clash since 1977. Mick Jones could play a guitar extremely well and picked out some decent solos in his time. The guy in the video is not even in tune, let alone in time. It's an embarrasment
What a man, real rockstar, punk rock warlord, best Turkish frontman! Great performance, we miss you Joe, rest in peace!
Amen.
i miss him even if i'm 23 yo. What a loss for music and for us. Have tears in my eyes watching this
This world needs a Joe Strummer, i miss him a lot. Salud from Argentina
Same feelings mate... and I'm 29
cheers from Italy
Joe always gave it everything he had.
Like his life depended on it!!!
I know it's not Joe's song, but he so owns the 2.52secs. Perfect with all the imperfections.
The clash made it their own, it's certainly my favourite version, I love the original too
@@ChickenSagittarius I loved it when it [unexpectedly] played in this episode: th-cam.com/video/aLvfsyY4G7Q/w-d-xo.html
Joe is so charismatic. You even see guys from other bands playing with him on final hahah
Joe was the real deal. Miss him!
Not forgotten.

@@voodoochile804 Thanks for that. That makes me feel I'm not such a crap guitarist after all 😂
