I received my AA from Pierce College and then continued my education to earn my Master's Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management and now I'm a COOP/Emergency Management analyst for a four-star command. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Don't forget about getting various state and federal level certifications, there are many of them out there.

I’ve been thinking of pursing a masters in the same field. Any tips or schools you recommend I look at?

@@deltaonesix9335 if you have no prior college, taking one 8 week online course at a time will take 3 to 4 years depending on the school. I went to American military university for an associate degree, their courses are 3 semester hours each. Now at GCU an their courses are 4 semesters each. Cost more but goes faster. There are lots of grants and federal aid to help cover cost

I had no idea you can get a college degree to help prepare you to direct emergency situations. That's cool.
