brandon has already demonstrated a solid knowledge of the bible and his critical reasoning abilities will help, hopefully, a lot of people escape their religious mental prison.
It must be very difficult to coexist with someone who still believes! When I stepped back from religion, I was amazed that I believed any of bible's stories! I lost my faith at about 12-years-old, but I was not brave enough to declare it until I was in my late 30's. The breaking point for me was reading more of the bible than the preachers said to and finding Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Daniel Dennett, and Lawrence Krauss. For some reason, I assumed that the more educated people around me certainly figured this out before I did. When sharing my newly discovered knowledge, I would tend to be more "in your face" like Christopher Hitchens. I found that did not work so well for me. I recently found Kristi Burke and Brandon and I very much enjoy their sharing of their views.
I found Brandon through his bookshelf channel when I was trying to get away from the constant barrage of political/YEC/Flat Earth videos. I even tried to read a book from one of his lists, but Link isn't going to dry up the Tears of the Kingdom by himself, so... He is articulate, intelligent, well-read in both secular and theological matters, and pitches his videos at the (for me) magic 10-30 minute length. An excellent presenter and organizer, I'm sure his channel will continue to grow and he will become a bigger voice in the atheist sphere.
It's great to have new voices joining the god debate and offering intelligent arguments that awaken thinking. This could be a new age of reason and enlightenment.
