Hello! I have a 977L and today when I stated it, the throttle wouldn't advance past idle. Any thought on why? It has done this before but, would always release after giving it a jiggle.
First off does it have oil pressure the fuel pump will not come off idle if it does not.Does the linkage move freely from off to start and vice versa? If so, I would disconnect the linkage and see if it’s stuck or binding. Let me know what you find
@@HaydenIngram Thanks for the quick reply Hayden! I took the linkage off and it is stuck in the injection pump part. I will check the oil pressure when I get home. I hope its nothing to serious.
@@mikeleschber1316 what does your pump look like? They had 2 styles. Sleeve metering and scroll type pumps. Does yours have a big inspection cover on the side or look similar to a slant 6 engine. Sounds like could be a frozen rack. Has it sat for a period of time?
@@HaydenIngram it moves easily from stop to start. It just won't go past that. I tried to work it with a wrench thinking it was just hung up. But I have no clue about these things. Thanks again for all the help! This is my first piece of big equipment so I have a lot to learn.
