Warning: Fog Advisory

Due to nice weather, we couldn't miss the chance to run up into the mountains for a short camping trip. We left right after work on our Friday, kayaked across the lake, and set out to battle through forests of devils club to emerge in the alpine before dark. We succeeded, and were greeted with a calm, clear evening on the mountainside. The next morning, we awoke to a bank of fog that rolled in overnight. We decided instead of waiting for the fog to burn off, we'd continue up into the fog. It felt like being in a dream with no sense of your surroundings. During our journey into the fog, we came across a Rock Ptarmigan, and set up a game camera at the top of the mountain in the hopes of getting pictures of mountain goats.
