How does the sound compare with Marantz Cinema 60 when listening to Spotify Connect on both devices? Same pair of loudspeakers, same room. Which one has more dynamics and details? I am having them both on my short list and I am still not sure what would pair better with Dali Oberon 7.
The M1 looks great and I have had my eye on it for a while. I had asked Marantz about support for "Qobuz" and "Tidal Connect" and the response was those items are not on the radar. They did say the M1 supported "Tidal Hi Res" but I am not sure what that means, and how it is accomplished. Can someone give a technical explanation as to how the M1 accomplishes Tidal Hi Res? Thanks
@jefflabute2946 Well D+M AVRs have just received Tidal Connect & Deezer HiFi with the latest July 24th (U34) HEOS firmware update but disappointingly Roon Ready certification has been delayed for the second time, the first was in April & now in July, it appears that D+M's engineers are really incompetent & seem to be struggling to implement Roon Ready, perhaps it is the HEOS hardware that is limited to 2 Ch Stereo & atrocious software limitations causing such issues :(
@@oniiz8685 sure looks promising. A fairly large update with lots of features including: HEOS app feature: "Reboot" is added to My Device Settings of the HEOS App. The customer can reboot their device from the HEOS App A feature I hope I never or rarely need, lol.
Seems Marantz think that Sound calibration is not required for 2ch audio or missed to give Calibration software support and also forgot to put port hole display a iconic look of MA 😂 Justifying capacitive tuch button in place of display is really horrible.....no offense but this is true...... Marantz please start giving PEQ in place GEQ🙏 I am user of SR8015, Cinema 40 and Cinema 70s.......
Tell me more? Thinking of upgrading from my 8015 to the 30. I’m running 3 subs for LFE, and a pair of 3000 micros in stereo mode for L/R for a total of 5 subs… think DLBC and the Cinema 30 will be a side grade or an upgrade???
I have a question not related to the M1 & M4. When does Marantz will make a streamer/dac with a touch screen (like the Eversolo) but much better in quality? This is apparently Not foreseen in the product portfolio. Stupid question? Hope not, and thanks for letting me know! Great video by the way.
@@gilbertrenebogaert2316 I think the M1 is their first forte into that market. I would guess if the product does well their next gen would be a wider form factor with a touch screen, room correction, all the goodies. But they’d charge like $4k for such a product, which can also buy a Cinema 30, which is really a state of the art AVR that can do it all! Might be too many competing products internally that can do the same thing, so they may ignore that market! I don’t know!
@HiFinest343 I mean as far as I know sound wise I heard they sound identical so as far as upgrading unless it's for more hdmi inputs ect. I wouldn't upgrade unless money is no problem Of course
Bought an m1. Hate it. Just kidding - love it! There are heos annoyances, and opportunities that haven’t currently been taken (room correction! Better eq!) but the overall package is good. It’s worth the price.
Why is 60hz missing from the high pass filter settings please?

Does the metal grill on the M1 need a lot of dust maintenance?
The m4 seems extremely niche. How many ppl are hooking up 4+ rooms?

How does one connect a CD transport to the M1?
Just wanted to say I love my marantz cinema 30

I LOVE my Model30 w/ SACD30n . Bought it around 3 years ago (?). Never looked back !

Is there a service that streams DSD?
On the M1, what is the difference between Digital Filter 1 vs Filter 2?
I will buy the M1 if Marantz plans a software update with room correction in the future.
Are these amps Roon Ready or Roon Tested?
Currently they are Roon tested but they are in the process of being certified Roon Ready

Is M1 Class D amplification ?
I would hope so. Anything else is such a waste of power
Yes the M1 and M4 are Class D. They use a custom Axign Class-D amp circuit
This must be a Joe Kiani brain child.
My Bose 900 sound bar and 700 sub sound comparable
Odd comment. The largest difference will be in the speakers you pair it with..
