Great stuff. I was busking (terribly) in a band in the west midlands in the early 70s and we backed him at the nearly empty huge cavernous Winter Gardens at Malvern (getting old!). They let us use their amps. Then 30 years later saw him a few times at Pontins Brean C&W week. What a player!

Good to see that Froggy is still 'keeping the flag flying' at 75. I managed to find a scratched second-hand copy of his first album -- 'The Voice and the Writing of Raymond Froggatt' (1968) -- in a bargain bin of a small Dublin record shop in 1971. And what a bargain it was.
Difficult to understand how he managed to compose only two songs to reach the top-10 of the British charts (sung by the Dave Clark Five and Cliff Richard). He has created hundreds of quality easy-listening songs over the last fifty years.

Froggy if you ever get to read this , do you remember my father in-law Martin Jenner who was cliff’s guitarist for 10 years. I’m pretty sure you would have met .

I hate that word ‘local’ like local artist, local historian etc it means that they were only successful locally which doesn’t really apply to froggy who’s red balloon got to number 3 in the Netherlands
