. @Leli196 read the labels - flow agents, binders and fillers = magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, maltodextrin, rice bran etc. more junk, less product in your gut
@@TheFrodiggs You mean in the capsule material or inside of the capsules? I always read the labes; here in Germany you easily get filled capsules without all of those substances. I do not like them either. I buy capsules with prebiotic acacia fiber as filler. (A filler is always needed when the active substance is of very low mass/volume like vitamins.)

Bought this to put some kratom in capsules... One thing I found out the hard way. Go slow when compacting them down... Apparently I had a lot of air under the powder, when I pushed the compactor down it poofed out all over :)

My only modification was having the “skinny” side of the base facing down. I was ready to throw my “machine” in the garbage until I found this video. @breakerbroke23 I figured out a trick or maybe it's intended but it isn't mentioned in the instructions. Before loading, filling, and spreading, place the stand upside down and put the base on it. You'll notice the caps are now recessed about 1mm or so allowing you to fill and spread without having to hold the base up with your hand to do so. Try it out!

When I went to put the top on literally flipped all the top caps off and had to smush them down by hand.

I’ve had my little “ majick bullet” machine since about 1979, so they’ve been around for quite awhile and I STILL can’t remember how to use it from one time to the next! Probably due to the product I was filling those caps with at the time.....which was...🤔..no idea.🙄Geez, getting old is exhausting. Come to think of it, the capsules themselves have been around almost as long. Perhaps I should be questioning their integrity as they’ve not yet disintegrated. Hhmmm.. I have one of these, and have had it and used it a lot for several years. I'd give it about 3 out of 5.
It does a good job but over the long run, capsules start getting stuck in there and don't come out smoothly. Capsules can get stuck sometimes even when it's clean, like if there's a manufacturing thing and the capsules are 0.1% too wide. If capsules get stuck for any reason (especially if they're wet) they can be a nightmare to get out. It used to be I could wash/rinse it out and was good as new but even that doesn't work any more. The holes develop friction with time. Also it becomes very difficult to clean. It's hard to get into the corners and on the underside of the device. Don't get me wrong, it's a convenient tool and did me well for a while.
AND IF YOU DO WASH IT OUT, DON'T USE FOR 24 HOURS, because you put the capsules in, they will get wet and stick to the machine and it'll be hell getting them out.
I was mine every other use, been doing this since 2015. I use a dishwasher and put all the parts on the top rack. Not one problem.
The most important thing to do is keep the capsules dry and out of any humidity. I store mine in the sealable package they come in and put that in a ZipLock. Also manufactures can produce capsules that vary in size from time to time. Cheers

Those are huge! I was hoping to be able to make small capsules...
You're supposed to use the base plate upside down when not pushing the capsules in for formation. You use the baseplate the other way around to add the material so it doesn't move the capsules out of their place. He put it on the table to press it in which is not correct but I guess whatever works do it. He found an alternate way that works for him. 🤙🏾

The more caps you load the better and faster you get. You can whip up 100 in no time at all.
Best of all.... YOU control what you put in them. No silica and other fillers+ crap you get from commercially made caps IMHO.... Cheers

Glad I found this since the directions included were lousy. Playing back at 2x speed is recommended though.

Great video - couple of items that could make it clearer:
1: use colored capsules so that your viewers can more easily see what you are doing with the component parts.
2: use a bi color capsule so that the viewers can see that there are two parts and one goes in the base, the other goes in the lid.
I've been looking online and I haven't seen any capsules for sale to public that aren't clear so that may be the reason. I would've suggested some voice tips. I feel like there's explanations missing of why he did it different than the instructions stated.

So is the stand only used to stabilize the base when tamping? I honestly can't understand what it's actually used for.
I'm a dumbass. The stand stops the bottom from pushing into the base. The bottom is spring loaded, and that's how it compresses both sides. Smoothbrain moment.

I have this machine and bought the size capsules that go with the machine at the same time. When I put the small end of caps in the holder and then flipped that portion over to cap the capsules, all the small caps fell out so I ended up capping them by hand, can you suggest anything? I've watched several video's on using this machine and no one I've watched seems to have that problem. The machine and caps I'm using are all 00 and both came from the same company so i am using the correct size cap for the machine I have.
You may have a miss-packed item. Could be you got a ooo part from the factory. I would contact them and see what they can do for you. Im thinking replacement?

Easy/Peasee.....when you fill the bottom; large section....then take the bottom "stand off"....whilst turning over the top to combine....do it slowly...and watch at "eye-level" if anything falls out. Each top/bottom....needs to be "flush" with the top of each prospective top or bottom....this means "pushing them each flush" with the corresponding top of each piece.
How do you determine how many milligrams/grams are in each capsule?
You really can't...due to the different densities of material it's really hard to gauge...best to weigh your product on a digital scale...hope this helps....it also makes a big difference depending on how much you tamp the product into the caps...

Absolutely not....it will burst the small cap when combining the two...don't be so "cheap"....be happy saving 50-60%. YOu WILL wreck the machine if you do what you propose.
I have tried to fill both, to see how it would work, and it does not. Even tampering down the powder, they still loose powder when you flip it over to put on top of the bottom capsule part. Also, the edges of the top capsules catch up on the edges of the bottom capsules and as you try to move it around to get them all to match up, you loose a lot of powder. Just do it filling the bottoms.
What manufacturer did you use. My tops fall out when I turn upside down

What's gone wrong when the 00 caps, base and top parts, fall through most of the holes? Both caps and machine are from the same company. They held the first time but now just fall through. What's caused the shrinkage?
Not sure, I would call the Manufacturer and ask them, I'm sure they would be glad to help you. Please Let us know what happens. Thanks for watching..
Either you have shrinkage in the caps,...due to some condensation in them...and the respective "resultant malformation" due to water vapor changing their' shape,...or you have a dirty residual machine...creating "blow-by" of subsequent powder. One or the other...or you now have Parkinson's Ds. and shake too much.
This machine has an annoying flaw that, according to the manufacturer, has been there since 1981. See that square indentation between the two blocks of 12 capsules on the bottom half of the unit? I'm guessing this is left over from the injection molding, but it needlessly catches the capsule contents and, unlike the excess powder that can be scraped out of the unit with the spreader, powder that gets caught in that little square recess can only be removed by turning the unit over and dumping that small quantity onto a plate or something. Remarkable that this design flaw has been there for 30+ years.
Yes that looks to be from the injection process, the indent is so small in my opinion it is a non issue. Heck people will spill way more than that on the table making capsules:). IMHO out of the machines I have used, this one (even though its only 24 at a time) is the BEST one on the consumer market. Best to you and thanks for watching.

you need to invert it anyway after you've finished filling the capsules to get the remaining powder out, so doesn't sound particularly important.

I struggled placing the tops of the capsules onto the bottoms, they kept popping out when I turned the top of the machine upside down 🤔😕 how do you keep those capsules securely in place while you pressed the two together?
Honestly I have not had that problem, try a different brand of capsules and make sure you are using the correct size cap for your machine.

Yes the Machine comes in different sizes. 0, 00 etc.
I have 0 size..00..000 is bigger and 2..3..4.. is smaller.machine must match number.
There are "3" styles/sizes of machine to "match" the capsules one buys....one cannot use "3" different capsule size...the best are: '0' & '00'; ie: 500/700mg inputs/loads per capsule.
Hello, i was wondering if i had a blend/mix of powders what would be the best way to ensure each capsule gets the same amount?
for example: powder A 150mg
powder B 300mg
powder C 250mg
powder D 250mg
how in your opinion would you ensure each capsule is consistent in terms of the quantity of each ingredient in each capsule?

If I understand your question, I would just mix your measured powders together.
The only thing to look at would be volume of powder in each cap. Fill a few and weigh them.
Impossible with such a machine...it's too unscientific to make such calculations...one would need a lab "filling machine to do so"....at hundreds-of-thousands of dollars each. Just be happy with being "a full capsule"...
Your example shows 950 mg of your mixture. A "00" capsule holds approx. 700 mg and a "000" capsule holds 1000 mg. Define your 4 powders so they equal either 700 or 1000 mg. The density of some of your 4 ingredients may be different which makes settling a possible problem, so mix very well to get the mixture dispersed as much as you can, and mix again each time before adding to The Capsule Machine. Say you decided on a "00" capsule at 700 mg and have made sure the total weight of all 4 powders equal 700 mg: Final calculation example (ABCD set at 150, 300, 125, 125) for powder A at 150 mg would be 150 times 24 capsules equals 3600 mg, and powder B would be 300 times 24 equals 7200 mg, and continue for the other powders. Do this for all 4 powders, combine the powders in a plastic bowl and mix with a fork several times before adding to The Capsule Machine.

Do u ever have issues with capsuls not releasing or crushing when u press the top n bottom together.
No crushing issues, I have had some stay in the top and I have to pull them out. I have noticed that some capsule manufactures produce caps "out of spec" also humidity can make them swell.

Try a different brand of capsules. Some brands/batches can be wrong size. I order from amazon then if the caps are funky I just send them back and try another brand.
Also....when you open a bag of caps only take out what you need and return the unused to the bag they came in and put that bag in a ziplock. The caps swell from humidity.

Do capsules shrink a bit over time?
I am not sure about shrinking, but I think I have had some swell up in storage. Still, I can't be positive about that. Cheers.

I have this machine. Only issue I have is that it only does 24 capsules at a time so the process is slow if you need 100 capsules.
I would recommend getting a bigger machine like one of those 100 capsule machines to save you time.

a 00 capsule holds approximately 725 - 750mg, we use no fillers just turmeric and peppercorn.

I bought capsules to put my Carolina Reapers in (for days i dont want to eat spicy food). But i dont dry mine to the point of powder. I prefer to let them have tangibility, so when i use a grinder they become flakes. I made a funnel from paper and use a stick to pack them into the capsule. I can only make one at a time. Lol. Would this machine/tool work for flakes?
I have not tried flakes. I imagine this machine would be faster and get more product in the capsule

kratom is gonna run out soon, akwamma is a very acceptable substitute. however anyone who has tried to take akwamma raw dog will tell you that taste will stay with you for days. a capsule loader is a must!!!! any opinions out there about the viability of akwamma root as a kratom substitute, perhaps someone might know of a better one

How much powdered did you measure out before putting it in the machine?
I usually put out a tbsp at a time. give or take.
You don't....you learn by "doing"....put some in...pack it,....put some more in,...pack it down....maybe a third or 4th time...than be happy with your results and combine the top to the bottom. You'll figure out how much to dump over time.
Every time I flip the top over, my capsules fall out. I have the right size for my machine. What am I doing wrong?
Try a different brand of capsules. I have had this issue before as well. Seems like batches can vary in size.
Just got one of these. Not impressed. When I try to join the top (small) capsule ends to the filled bottom caps (larger), the top caps fall out before I can even get them onto the base to join the halves. I spend over an hour futzing around with this thing, made a mess, and ended doing my caps the old-fashioned way, as I have been doing, filling them by hand. I had high hopes for this thing.
I have had issues with different brands, either capsules being a bit large or small. More than likely the manufacturers QC not up to par. Remember, these caps are made in seconds and thousands per day. Try another brand of capsules, we have been using the same machine for 5+ years now. Still works like a champ. IMHO
@@breakerbroke23 I think you're right on the money. I was not using the capsules supplied with the capsule maker, but others that I had on hand which I had been filling manually. Soon, I will try the ones that came with it, and perhaps that will make the difference!
Yeah. I'm not impressed either. The machine is fine for filling with something that doesn't matter how much is in each capsule. However, if you need something like 100mg in each capsule... forget it!
I own this machine. Sitting in my closet. First use was ok. But the capsules to make them must be fresh otherwise they will not work together. It was just too much trouble with capsules sticking inside the holders after a few uses. If I were to spend money I would look for a larger and better model. Just sayin.....
Your capsule may have accumulated moisture. I recommend throwing silica gel pack in your bag of empty capsules.
This may be a dumb question but I can’t find the answer anywhere, how do you know how much you are putting in each pill

it also depends on powder density
Measure out how much you want per capsule, multiply by 24, and distribute evenly. This isn't exact, so don't use anything where a precise dose is required.
Use a scale. Measure the appropriate amount for 24 pills. Don't add more than that much total. Double check on scale after. Of course lots of the vitamins are much cheaper if you buy powdered form in bulk.

Has anyone tried scraping powder with metal scraper? Every video I've seen uses plastic ones. I wonder if there's any sort of unwanted effects on the powder.
I have been using the paper card that came with the machine, works great. When that card bites the big one I will more than likely use a thick Business Card (my own).
The only thing that I could see, by using metal is that you may overtime get micro plastic particles in your powder mix.

Metals sustain "charges"...that's what metals "do"...so don't use metals. Use something electrically inert or a non-conductor. The product will "stick" to a charged metal...leaving "gaps" / bubbles of air in the capsules. So again...without getting into physics or basic chemistry....just don't do it. TaTa.
Metal will wear down the plastic

if you do bigger load presumably wouldnt take much longer. im thinking too, if you did it on some tissue paper, you could be more careless, and do it faster becuase you could recycle it... or a clean, dry mat. i was thinking of doing it with bicarb soda as it has many health benefits but tastes disgusting. would be a great cnacer preventative for dogs etc but they wouldnt want to swallow the powder. pop it in a cap, down the hatch!
Tea marks, I've actually heard of people curing cancer with bicarb soda, a friend of mine, her friends as in hospital in india and 4 guys got healed with it. also read percy weston's book on cancer its cause and cure. bicarb and epsom salts...and those who do holistic healing. ACV is good for heartburn. i will read further tho. i do know bicarb is a base, its true.
that is true, you seem to know a lot about this stuff, i tend to feel that perhaps the bicarb help if you already have cancer. what id do know is that cancer treatments generally redirect cancer...

Thank you, I found the Cap Machine on E-BAY. I paid $18 or so, and it came with 100 free gel caps. What a deal. I have now made close to 2,000 caps and it works great. Its been in the washer 3-4 times (top rack) with no problems.

This is an old video. Can't find this machine any where online and all others now say that capsule filling machines (even manual ones) are now regulated by DEA and that you cannot get one without their permission. Bummer.......:-(.

n the last six months caps start sticking after jus a few weeks of use till it finally gets impossible to use
You need to keep them in a sealed container, in a cool dry place.

I think some more powder and 1 more pressed would of completely filled tbe capsules
I have "punched" down on the tamper to try to get in that last little bit. But some capsules look like they could use a little more powder and some fill up just fine. I think there may be slight differences in how the capsules come from the factory. IMHO... I would rather have not so full caps VS crushed over packed caps. BB23
from experience...it takes at least "3" presses to fill the capsules up. Why waste the "space" within the capsules...always fill them boo-boo.
I use this unit for Kratom powder and after dumping powder onto the unit I peck it against my table to pack it into the capsules and then I use the tamper plate, then repeat until I can’t get any more in the capsule then I cap them, no wasted space!!!!
How do you know much total (weight) you squeeze into each capsule?

"00" hold about 700mg
"0" hold about 500mg
#1 hold about 400mg
Depends on what you're putting in to them. For kratom, a 00 means 450-550mg depending on how many times you tamp that thing down.
