    At the 10:12 mark, Frank (The Tank) Kaminsky still makes me smile. When Wisconsin upset that undefeated Kentucky team in the NCAA tourney. I remember a depressed Ky player (point guard?) using some foul language when asked about Frank at the post game press conference.

    D Book got a bad wrap. He wasn’t putting up empty stats he was just playing on a bad team 😂 of course he’s a better player now because good players get better in there mid to late 20’s. But when he was scoring all those points on bad Suns teams everyone was scheming to find ways to bring him down 🙃

    Mudiay tearing it up in the G league. He is a very good passer, but better at turnovers.

    Okafor would have been better if he was drafted 10 yrs earlier he was caught in between a transisional time for big man so his skill set wasnt needed any more

      Rusty Buckets once compared Okafor to Al Jefferson.
      Would that be a fair comparison as far as abilities go? (Ergo was Jefferson also a post scorer who couldn’t do much else?)

      In the case of Okafor, if he had developed more abilities outside of posting up, then he could’ve become a decent backup and had more of a career.

    Here's the Rorschach test for how much you actually know about basketball: a starter on the defending champions who had a monster 2022 playoff run was picked in the 2015 NBA draft. He wasn't taken in your top 10 re-draft. Your re-draft greatly over-values counting stats, and greatly undervalues contributions to winning basketball, there's no way I'm taking Kristaps over Bobby Portis in a re-draft; Portis is a winning NBA player, Kristaps is a losing player. There's no way I'm taking half the players in your top 10 over Kevon Looney.

    • @klutchedup9
      @klutchedup9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You're taking Bobby Portis over Porzingis 🤣

    • @SuperSupersoda
      @SuperSupersoda ปีที่แล้ว

      @@klutchedup9 Two players who went in the top 10 re-draft who I do not pick for any reason are Porzingis and Oubre Jr.
      Porzingis was on the Knicks, they traded him to Dallas, as soon as Porzingis was gone, the Knicks got better. They claimed the 4th seed one year after the trade.
      Porzingis was on the Mavericks, they tried him for awhile, found it wasn't working out and shipped him to the Wizards, the instant he left, Dallas made the WC finals.
      Oubre Jr. was on the Suns, they traded him to OKC in the CP3 trade, the instant he left, the Suns made the NBA finals. When Oubre was on the warriors, they made the 8th seed and lost the play-in tourney. He was a free agent, and the warriors made no intention to keep him, the instant he was gone, the warriors won the title.
      This is why Fantasy sports are poison for fans; they teach fans to value counting stats (which Oubre and Porzingis both provide a lot of) and to de-value the things that actually have to do with winning and losing. Oubre and Porzingis will help you win your fantasy league, but they are both LOSING players, they won't help your NBA team win games.
      They are both selfish, and not willing to sacrifice to help the team win games. Oubre's counting stats were fine in Golden State, but as a warrior's fan who watched him play, he actively hurt the team's ability to win games. They were better without him.
      That's why I'm not touching either player, you'd be better off lighting the picks on fire than drafting these two, they make the team worse. Bobby Portis and Kevon Looney won't help you win your fantasy league, they have no counting stats, but they will help your team win championships. Bobby Portis and Kevon Looney were key players on the last two NBA champions, and the teams did what it took to keep both when they were free agents. You want to win? That's who you draft.

      @@SuperSupersoda kevon looney and Portis however have had great rosters and mvp winning players on their teams

    • @SuperSupersoda
      @SuperSupersoda ปีที่แล้ว

      @@klutchedup9 Those teams win because of Loon and Portis, not despite them. The other great players matter, absolutely, but you can't argue that Loon and Portis aren't huge net positives for their teams. Neither team would be as good without the given player. On the other hand, I can absolutely argue that Porzingis and Oubre are net negatives. You are literally better off cutting both players and giving the roster spot to a G-league call-up.
      The truth serum, in the NBA, to find out what teams really think of players is during free agency and during the trade season. When you are available, do smart teams and smart organizations try to keep you or do they move off of you? Dallas traded Porzingis for a fraction of what they paid to get him from the Knicks, and both the Knicks and the Mavs moved off of Porzingis. Dallas is a fairly well-run team, and Porzingis is talented, but they concluded they were better off without him.
      Kelly Oubre has played, in his career, for the wizards, the Suns, the warriors and the Hornets. He was briefly a member of the Thunder, before Presti flipped him to GS. All of those teams moved off him, and none of them regrets that decision.
      There is a difference between talent and winning. Porzingis and Oubre are very talented, but they don't help you win. Most NBA players don't particularly like basketball, they like what basketball can do for them. Most NBA players won't sacrifice to help the team win, Portis and Looney have done that over and over again in their careers, that's why they have the rings. The warriors made this actual decision, when Oubre was a free agent, they didn't make an offer, when Looney was, he was their top offseason priority, even above GP 2 and Otto Porter Jr.
