    GETJaby,
26:32 You likely do. You want OT Boba, right? That ship has sailed. He told us that. Boba was reborn in the belly of the Sarlacc.
This whole story was a redemption arc for Boba. I don't know how anyone can be pissed with that since the guy we met in the Mandalorian certainly wasn't OT Boba Fett. We saw how much he cared to help a child in the Mandalorian and NO was pissed about that then, but they sure are pissed that the story that was supposed to explain why OT Boba Fett was the way he was in the Mandalorian is the way he is and where he's going moving forward.
Boba was an outcast. We saw in the Mandalorian with Bo-Katan and Koska's interaction with him that other Mandalorians do no recognize him. They blame him for Jango's betrayal and for the clone's crimes against Mandalore. A Mandalorian not recognized by Mandalorians is a nobody, and the episode that you felt was out of place showed us that! Din was excommunicated by the Children of the Watch when he came clean about removing his helmet. They turned their backs to him. You could see and hear how broken Din was. A Mandalorian without a clan or house is a nobody. And that's how Boba has felt for most of his life. This series started with Boba in the empty Geonosis arena cradling his father's helmet. His flashbacks often showed him watching his father leaving him behind on Kamino. These images were showing us how alone Boba felt. He was no longer part of a clan or house. It's no wonder Boba was portrayed as the angry teen in Clone Wars or why he grows up to become the feared and ruthless bounty hunter we see in the OT. The thing is, that anger he had been carrying inside him all these years got him killed, well, that version of him and that's where this series begins.
The Tuskens saved Boba, as he said they did. We all assumed they were enslaving him as previous stories gave the Tuskens a bad rep and it didn't help that characters we trust helped push that information. The Tuskens could have left a dying man on the sands of Tatooine, but they instead fed him nourishments and exercised his weak body back to health. They very likely bound Boba's hands because Off-Worlders were always attacking them, which we were shown. Sure, the children hit him with their sticks, but they weren't trying to kill him--they were doing to him what Off-Worlders were doing to them. Boba and the Rodian were bound for the Tusken's safety as they had no idea how Off-Worlders would react in the company of Tuskens.
We all thought the Rodian was nuts, but turns out he already figured out the Tuskens were harmless. He didn't understand the Tuskens either, but he knew more than Boba did. Rumors and the inability to communicate is what drove Boba's fears. And their response to his outburst were confusing to us all, especially the Tuskens sending Boba and the Rodian out with a child to gather black melons for the tribe. The Tuskens were committed to helping the Off-Worlders they came across, but as they were a part of the tribe, they had to earn their keep. Since they couldn't fight (Boba didn't do to well the night before) he and the Rodian were relegated to youngling work, gathers. I don't think Boba realized what was going on until the Tusken youngling put himself in harms way to save him and the Rodian from the sand creature. The child didn't flee. Instead, it tried to protect them--why would a captor do that?
The Tuskens had given Boba something no bounty ever did. Acceptance, and he didn't have to do anything to get it. Bringing the youngling home safely scored him so points, sure, but he also proved to the Tuskens that he wasn't going to hurt them either. They didn't have a form of communication yet, but they did have a mutual form of respect. Boba was finally part of a clan again and a house, the Tuskens of the Dune Sea. I think this is why he did not leave. Boba was going from job to job because he was lost. The Tuskens were a community looking out for one another, a family and that's all he wanted. He hadn't had that since Jango Fett.
Boba came back to Tatooine to start a "family." He takes Jabba's palace and assumes the title of Crime Lord, while denouncing the actions of a Crime Lord. Boba made it pretty clear early on that he had no interest in doing anything remotely similar to criminals. What he learned from the Tuskens was still a part of him. He wanted mutual respect to be the bound between him and those he worked with. He was building a new clan and forming his house--the crime lords he spoke with often spoke of the importance of having a family, though they meant a crime family. Boba was trying to do something different. Tatooine had been his home for five years, and he wasn't ready to leave it. But it couldn't remain as it was, he was determined to change it.
The episode with Din, in my opinion, was a story within a story. Yes, there was Din's story, but more importantly there was Tarre Vizsla's story as well as Mandalore's future story. Tarre was a Mandalorian that grew beyond Mandalorian teachings, he became a Jedi. He later returned home and united his people who were at odds with one another.
Boba is the next Tarre Vizsla. He too has grown past the person he once was and has grown to be a unifier. Tatooine was a planet with a bunch of cities with a bunch of different leaders and rules, as Cobb Vanth pointed out last week. Boba changed that. He wiped out all the crime families and brought peace to Tatooine, for the time being anyway.
The Armorer spoke of a Mythosaur rising up to herald in a new area on Mandalore. It wasn't a Mythosaur, but Boba evoked the image of one atop his Rancor. Boba still has a bit more work, but it certainly looks like he's being positioned to bring Mandalore back together.
Bo-Katan and the Armorer and remnants of Mandalore's fractured past. They were always the problem, even when Satine Kryze (Bo-Katan's sister) was ruler of Mandalore. Boba Fett, Din and Grogu are Mandalore's future, and this is why they are in his show and why he was in theirs. I assume we'll see more on this in the next season of the Mandalorian.
The mods are are not new to Star Wars. We've always had cyborgs/mods: Grievous, Anakin/Vader, Luke, Dengar and Lobot come to mind. The thing is, the Empire is gone and people are free to roam about again. We are seeing regular citizens, not soldiers or security officers who often hid their modifications behind clothing. I don't mind this change, as it shows people returning to a normal life after the Empire, but I can see how some might be for it, as they're used to a more uniform look shared across previous stories.

They were Boba’s first bodyguards besides Fennec and stayed loyal to both of their masters and to Boba til death. They should’ve lived to see the outcome. Tatooine is finally at peace after so many years and they deserved a peaceful rest of their career as guards. I understand it was necessary for someone on Boba’s side to die otherwise it would be unrealistic, but it’s still really sad to see.

This show was really good but far from perfect. People had this idea that Fett was supposed to be a bounty hunter killer, but he grew out of that so immediately some hated that. Also, Boba Fett was at a disadvantage because we started this journey with Mando. When Grogu was shown he stole the hearts of everyone, Boba doesn't have a Grogu plus 2 seasons of us following the journey. Boba was done justice in the final episode, it was a great time.

People wanted to know how Boba survived and what he had been doing since the Sarlaac pit. If they had focused 4 full episodes of The Mandalorian on Boba and the tuskens, people would have rioted. So instead they gave him a mini-series to explain what happened and how he has changed, and then they used the final 3 episodes to bring Boba back into the fold of the rest of the plotlines going on in the star wars universe right now. I'm fine with this.
People are focusing WAY too much on the name of the show, which was only named that because if this was Mando season 3 they'd have cried even more.

Not to say that we won’t see these characters again. In fact, I’ll put money on the fact that we will. Boba is not his own man anymore. People need to understand what it means to be a leader. A leader is only as good as the people he/she surrounds themselves with. And if you are willing to take advice is a key element. If you just do what you want regardless of what your advisors are saying, you will often fail. So Boba learning to listen to advice shows he knows how to actually lead.

Robert Rodriguez's episodes have had the weirdest choice of dialogue between Boba and Fennec. I feel like every other episode not directed by him has had better dialogue and handling of Boba Fett's overall personality. Action scenes were cool though, but Robert always misses the heart behind a scene. Like he doesn't give scenes enough weight.

Agreed. Boba's character "development" makes no sense in general. He's trying to prove he wants to rule a different way, but he sends Fennec to do all the killing for him via the old ways, while at the same time giving Cad Bane the satisfaction that he was right about being a ruthless killer by killing him? Idek what Boba is now, the show fails to demonstrate that he's worthy of respect while still being an intimidating forced to be reckoned with. Because no one respects him! Not even his own enforcers

I had to catch myself saying "DON'T YOU KILL THAT ________" At numerous points throughout this episode because HO BOY they did A LOT. From BK doing the Wookie being bsdass. To the unexpected teamwork. To the massive respect between Din and Boba. To R2 basically just strolling into Peli's shop like he owns the place(bummed there was no bit where Peli is like "R5 what do you mean you know him?") There is little bad I can say about this episode, or this season as a whole. Where else are you gonna get a Rancor rodeo, Yoda's species taming then napping by a rancor, TTFFB(Thank the Force for Beskar), uber Droidikas, and the end of Bane....who died as he lived........LIKE A BOSS(another missed opportunity to inter cut that fight with the unfinished CW arc where Boba gets the dent, but props to that call back to Boba and Koska Reeve in Mandalorian season 2). The cuts are really strange like all of Roberts episodes have these cuts mid character movement which doesn't carry over into the next scene really affecting the overall quality. But overall i enjoyed this alot by far his best episode in the series. I would've done some things different like having the first few episodes be Boba's time with the sand people three episodes sounds good then an episode centred around Fett stealing back the Slave 1 with the next episode showcasing him getting information on his armour which links to Mando Season 2 showing us how he found Mando in the first place something the show skipped over. We then see Boba's point of view when tracking the Mandalorian which would make for a fun change of view.
The next episode picks up after Fett leaves Mando in Season 2 (As we know already what happened in the show with Boba showing up in Mando Season 2) this being when Boba starts his crime family journey going to Jabba's palace followed by a more fleshed out version of what we saw in the show. A good 13 episodes 40 to 60 minutes in total to flesh out more of the series. No idea what the behind the scenes were like but you can tell by watching Roberts episodes that these were filmed last i would say maybe at the time of heavy covid which affected alot of the production.

I think the show runners messed up a bit when they didn't specify exactly what "Book" in the terms of 'Book of Boba Fett' means. In the Bible, the "books" aren't necessarily depicting events of someone's lives as much as they are depicting the time that person lived in & how their narrative was shared in the happenings of those times...so "Book" of Boba Fett isn't a story exclusive to him, rather an exposition of events during his time. Events he bore witness to or actions that led to events as he lived. Not a lot of folks read biblical texts these days so they wouldn't understand the significance of that term being used in the title. But it's a very clever way to weave these shared narratives together as they navigate through this world. Boba will be in Mando's future. He said it himself. He wasn't cut out to sit on a chair in a palace all day. He's going to follow Mando or answer Mando's call. 2023 get here!
Oh and *technically...Grogu has had more training by more masters than even master Luke. He was born the same year as Anakin & there at the temple training with all the masters until order 66. Luke said..."it's more like he's remembering, than me teaching him...."
Ahsoka..."lets see what knowledge is inside that little mind...."
So much good plot potential & Boba is going to figure heavy in the Mando plot...I think anyway...

I still like this show a lot for what it gave us but I think perhaps as I've seen someone suggest that rather then be it's own show the Book of Boba Fett should have been a two part story arch within the Mandalorian Season 3. Like episode 5 of this show could have been episode 1 in Mandalorian Season 3 and episodes 2 & 3 could have been episodes titled the Book of Boba Fett Part 1 & Part 2. They could've done a more linear story instead of the flashbacks, don't get me wrong I actually liked the flashbacks in fact I liked most of those better then the current day stuff they did but storywise looking at the season as a whole it didn't work for me in the end. I thought the female tusken was gonna show up still alive to help Boba, in that case it would have paid off for me. I think if it was structured that way instead of Boba having his own separate show it may have caused less confusion for some people. I understand what they were trying to go for as it was suppose to be structured more like a book series but I think it would have been less confusing for the average viewer to have it just be a story arc within the Mandalorian season. Nevertheless I still enjoyed the show, it was still good because I liked episodes 2, 5, & 6 and most of 7. It could have been even better if they structured it better. Filoni has even mentioned that Book of Boba Fett was essentially Mandalorian 2.5, it wasn't suppose to be a completely separate thing but part of the Mandalorian story but I guess you have to spell that out with the show itself to not confuse the average joe. Another thing I'm seeing is they did such a great job with Boba's image in Mandalorian season 2 that once they announced "The Book of Boba Fett" people built things up in their minds and had higher expectations then ever before that they were easily let down when it wasn't the show they had built up in their minds. I'm gonna be honest I kinda blame Disney for that as I can totally see them wanted to create a spinoff show where it wasn't even necessary storywise, this is just my thoughts as that might not be the case but looking at the structure of the show we got of the 7 episodes we got the first 4 episodes felt like they were about Boba while 2 episodes felt entirely like Mando episodes with episode 7 feeling a bit of both but with Mandalorian budget. Out of those 4 episodes they could have easily been condensed down to 2 episodes possibly 3, so really I think we could have just had the Boba arc in Mando S3.

🔴 Way before this show starts, the creators of the show acknowledged that "The Book of Boba Fett" is actually "The Mandalorian Season 2.5". If you consider this fact then you realize this show was a chapter of a greater story "The Mandalorians" from Boba Fett's perspective. I'm quite satisfied with the whole concept of the show, though I think it could be more exciting than it is now. They could've brought up a higher authority over the Pyke's Syndicate like Crimson Dawn or Qi'ra or some Dark Side Force Wielder. Fighting two Destroyer Droids is so lame and stupid for a Finale of a show with all these badass characters like Mando, Fenner or Boba Fett himself. This episode goes 7 outta 10 for me, but in general I enjoyed the whole season. And of course your reactions guys.❤

It just confused the average joe who happen to be very loud about their confusion lol. I still enjoyed the show a lot. I think they could've just as easily done a two part episode arc within Mandalorian Season 3, episodes titled Book of Boba Fett Part 1 & Part 2. This would have made it less confusing for those people and we would've had less complaining about it not feeling like "Boba's show". And who knows maybe it was Disney that really pushed for it to be a separate show. Either way I still think we got some great moments Episode 5 & 6 really standout but I liked a lot from Episode 2 as well. Episode 7 was mostly good but I think it just wasn't as focused as it could've been.
