- MasterChef Canada S05 E04 Full Episode: The home cooks found a large delivery cardboard box from Chefs Plate, Canada's #1 meal kit service, which contained a large variety of ingredients, including sauce, syrup, fruits, dairy products, meat and vegetables. The cooks were tasked with designing a home-inspired dish that could be made in just 30 minutes, with the winner of the mystery box received three big advantages, Michael G. won. Michael G. was safe from elimination and his dish was promotionally featured on the Chef's Plate menu across Canada. He was then given the advantage of assigning three different versions of a secret ingredient: dried, canned and fresh, to the remaining home cooks. Targeting Eugene and Andy, he gave the dried ingredient to Marissa, Jonathan and Beccy, the canned ingredient to Eugene, Andy and Reem, and the fresh ingredient to Nadia, Michael V. and Jen. The secret ingredient was revealed to be mushrooms in the pantry. Eugene made the best dish, while Andy and Marissa made the second and third best dishes respectively. The three became team captains for their next team challenge. Reem, Jonathan, and Nadia made the three worst dishes, and Reem was eliminated.

Eugene's dish is honestly one of the best I've ever seen across all seasons of any MasterChef region even including finale dishes. The only dishes that are more creative in my opinion are Reynold Poernomo's desserts from MasterChef Australia. It absolutely seems like something that could come out of a Michelin starred kitchen. And to top it all off, making it vegetarian makes it much more difficult to impart flavors yet the judges still loved the taste.
Jennifer from season 6 is a creative genius too tbh

I dont agree with Reem being eliminated.. she had the harder mushroom, was polite did her best.
Nadia got attitude when asked about her risotto, and was stuck up about *cloves*. Had easier mushroom, they said it tasted bad! Lol id rather have less flavor than what her dish was described as. Ew!!😂

It should be bigger! Some of us had to step in for the others because it took too much time and it was too hard.
it was time for Reem to go home at this point... she was so homesick, the motivation to actually move forward was just not there

Every dish is tasted. In the beginning episodes only really good or bad dishes are shown. If something wasn't the best or the worst you won't see it due to screen time. That's also why you barely see some contestants at first

Considering they often keep people in for entertainment value, I am surprised Beccy didn't go home at once she is shown on the screen. She is the least interesting or charismatic person i have ever seen. Even more bland than Amberlyn Reid.
Michael V deserved to win, not her
You can rly tell how manufacturerd this show has gotten.... Everything is so predictable. Not to mention this is clearly a sponsored episode filled top to bottom with marketing and the only reason the Pakistan dish wasnt picked was due to its complexity and barely anyone in Canada is gonna cook such a foreign dish. .. Not to mention how they are clearly taking the shine off the young girl. They didnt even show what she made and kept her quiet for awhile now. No doubt to play into her age and making it so far later..... She is sitting comfortably in the middle un-noticed. Its also clear to tell the Asian guy is the best culinary cook on the show... The judges gave him crap at first for tv but its jus to obvious whos really the "MasterChef". I can see Him vs the young girl by the end....
I still love to watch the show while i eat, its jus so darn predictable, and commercialized, its hard to take serious...
