I Love how i thought i was getting good at Zero 3 and seeing just how far up the skill cealing is actually. Really speaks to the quality of the game though, seeing just how extremely greatly designed and well thought out everything is. by far my favorite Mega Man Game
Z4 is very tedious to run and the hardest of the 4 games speed run wise. The run is loaded with RNG which includes obtaining part drops you can't manipulate and bosses that can waste up to 20 seconds at a time on a bad pattern (and most bosses in the game are guilty of this). There's also alot of little things which make it annoying to run like awkward level design. There's also the Junk Armor route which amplifies all the negative parts of the run even further since you have even more parts to collect on top of becoming a glass cannon who dies in 2-3 hits. It's those reasons why the game is barely run and why it isn't very safe for a GDQ. Most people I've seen run the game tend to be sick of it in the end.
It's really something when a Megaman game isn't speedrun, it's either obscure or awful. And Z4 is apparently the latter when it comes to actually speedrunning it.
I generally set buster/RR to primary and saber to secondary, then bind primary to A/Y and secondary to R. That's what I did back in '06 and it's what I'm doing with the MMZZXLC.
Ciel: Zero! Weil has reawakened Omega and- Zero: Well ExcuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuiuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE ME. I've played through this game TWICE and have never seen Deathtanz Mantisk do the "chopping wood" attack. That was a big wtf moment for me... HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THAT?
Reploids are true free thinkers. All of the Robot Masters (excluding DLN-000 and DWN-∞, more on them later) despite being *very* advanced, are all limited in their thought processes. I assume that their AI is based around their job, with Guts Man being based on building stuff, Wind Man probably thinks in terms of weather control, Sheep Man's thought process is probably similar to a herding dog, etc. Even Megaman is like this, with his A.I. assumedly having him do whatever is helpful to his creator, Dr. Light. Now as for the two special cases I mentioned: DLN-000 is Protoman. He is the second most advanced non-reploid, with him having no base primary objective compared to the others. However, he does have the problem of a very unstable core, and a bit of difficulty with harder decisions. He was never meant to be this successful however, surprising both of his creators when he had the free will to say "No." when offered to have his core fixed. DWN-∞ is a very special case. DWN-∞ is *the* ultimate creation of Dr. Wily, but he doesn't even know Wily's name. He is the most advanced Robot Master, to the point where everyone calls him a Reploid, but since he was created before X, he is a Robot Master. DWN-∞ is ridiculously powerful as well, boasting strength and firepower capable of wiping out armies, and is able to survive even the most ridiculous things. All of this was for one purpose: *_KILL MEGAMAN._* He is the Omega, the Heroslayer, the Harbinger of the End. He is Zero, the most badass robot in existence.
Zero 3 would be my favorite if the last four selectable stages weren't so bad. I especially hate the winter stage as it's impossible to dodge those giant enemies without knowing previously where they will spawn. That whole set of stages just has awful design all around though.
I like every stage in the game but the closest stage to being bad IMO is Foxtar for being way too long. And I do agree about the big guys in Cactank’s stage even though I like him.
@@henrychandler1773 this was such a long time ago, i'll have to watch the entire speedrun all over again, but maybe because i thought he was way too straight forward, there were no moments where i felt he had to suffer a bit to make it through any of the missions
This series literally has the best dash movements.

It's also really, really difficult. I really like the different weapons and how Zero controls, though, and the game has some very tough boss fights.
It is very Great especially for a GBA game
@@OrionAltHist i would not say its hard, its dificulty but nothing that a few tries can solve, zero 2 is way harder in my opnion
@@Slate674 well yeah its definitely not the hardest Zero game but that speaks for the difficulty of the entire series

Start of the Megaman X block..
Starts whith Megaman ZERO...
Like a BOSS!!!
JP VERSION HAS BLOOD LET'S GOOOOO
but what's bleeding they're all robots
theyre mavericks actually, cyborgs.
Reploids can be thought of as the next evolutionary step of the robots from the classic series. megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Reploid
Maverick, known as Irregular (イレギュラー Iregyurā?) in Japan, is a generic term for Reploids and Mechaniloids

Actually I think its red oil, not blood.
I could play and watch this game be played every single day for the rest of my life
The legendary story of Zero vs. the evil power plugs
I'm really happy to finally see this game get its due as it's my favorite Mega Man game as well as my favorite platformer in general.
One of the best in the Zero series :)

Proto fuckin ACED that Swedish donation! What a pro.
That moment when they cut off X's death scene...I feel you bros T_T
The hardest choices require the strongest wills
Solid run! Love all the pogo strats and that really close time of 42 min 59.9 secs woo!

It is coming January 2020, I'm stoked
Did you buy it?

Still hoping for a Megaman Zero 4 speed run in a GDQ. Still, great run from ajarmar.
In general, it does not seem to be run much and I dont' know why :(

Kuribon Oh wow, I had no idea. That's too bad.
Kuribon I am surprised by that. Speedrunners make X6 look like a cake walk and Z4 is considered hard by their standards.
It's really something when a Megaman game isn't speedrun, it's either obscure or awful. And Z4 is apparently the latter when it comes to actually speedrunning it.
what does the cyber elf he carried with him the whole game do?
It's Clokkle, he speeds up your weapon charging
Most TH-camrs use the Saber as the primary weapon and the Buster as the secondary. I do the opposite. Who else?
TEN RAN 432 I put Saber as primary weap but mostly use the buster due to L dashing and R shooting on DS
I generally set buster/RR to primary and saber to secondary, then bind primary to A/Y and secondary to R. That's what I did back in '06 and it's what I'm doing with the MMZZXLC.
I switch it up throughout the adventure :-)
Primarily i use saber primary and recoil rod secondary, but i switch it up on certain bosses depending on what ex skills wreck which bosses
Same. I main with the buster. Saber or Recoil Rod/shield secondary.
I love the huge delay after the "donators choice" donation. then everybody got the joke almost simultaneously
Solid run, for the most part, but very entertaining for its duration!

Why is the Cactus boss "popular" with the speed running community?
I'm guessing because he dies almost instantly
They like to make fun of him because he is hands down the easiest part of the game.
Is it actually slower to use ShieldN'Slash on Blizard and Copy X?
Yeah, the shield + slash strat that is used in Zero 1 runs doesn't work in Zero 3
Jakie That got fixed in Z2 and further games
I wish the video descriptions include commentator names as well.

Let's face it. The God of Destruction Omega didn't face a chance against the Super Speedrunning Reploid Zero.
Zero ain't a reploid..

Your rank wasn't high enough.
I've seen it plenty XD wait till you see Devilbat Schilt's ceiling attack
47:50 Oh.. it's a Kerberion (like Cerberus / Kerberos)
WTF, blood? They aren't robots??!
Red oil actually...
Yeah I never got that lol
Tecnicaly they're Reploids, no idea what's the difference between them and the old school robot masters but there's prob some lore behind that lol.
Hydraulic fluid is commonly red, though much more transparent.

Zero vs Omega...In Star force mega man is called Omega

Omega-Xis in the english version
War-Rock in the japanese one
every one of those stages is as fast as sonic forces

How could they recording gba game?
Maybe the ds collection

The only time x dies is because he was defenseless (and it was kinda zero fault)
V shot semi charge shoot is enough for those column in cube fox level
They don't have V Shot at that stage though because of the routing
