As a beginner I'm looking at a setup with the Hercules Impulse 200 and DJuced on a PC. Would this be a good setup to start with before venturing into more higher end products? I want something that is functional and not limiting but I don't need everything as I am just starting out.
The Inpulse 200 + DJUCED Setup is good enough for start as a Beginner DJ. Since the 200 is pretty cheap you can test yourself if DJing is fun for you. DJUCED and the Inpulse 200 will work out of the box, you can start right after connecting the hardware. DJUCED is nice and will work, but it's no Pro Software. Anyway you will be able to learn basic DJing with DJUCED and the Hercules Inpulse 200.

Yes, if you enjoy it, you will upgrade from low budget controller to a controller with more functions. This can be the Inpulse 300 or one of the ecosystems from Serato or Rekordbox.
be careful with the transitions and inputs, if you control a proper input you will have a cleaner mix and you will not lose the thread of energy! u re awesome
there are many DJ Pools for a small monthly fee. If you do hobby DJing you may be happy with SoundCloud Go stream that can be used with all mayor DJ Software.
You can record your PC internal soundcard including the PC screen. You will also be able to use your PC soundcard output for further processing of your audio signal. I recommend you to mute system sounds.

Reason: The Hercules Inpulse 200 DJ Controller is cheap and will help you with the Hercules DJ Academy to learn the basic Skills with very practical examples (just search YT for Hercules DJ Academy) On the other hand if you have basic DJ skills and you _know_ you want to grow or expand your skills in the future to a professional level, then the Pioneer DDJ200 with Rekordbox Software is recommended, since you will able to better upgrade to DDJ400, 800, 1000 or club level DJ gear i.e. the CDJ3000's within the same software. So if you are the absolute beginner, I recommend for min. one year the Inpulse 200 and if you decide to "grow", then switch to the Rekordbox based DDJ400 (not just 200) or Serato based equivalent SB3. The middle of the road is a Serato setup where you can get all hardware stuff from very small / cheap to very expensive. Anyway Serato has not so nice DJ Academy like Hercules.

There are multiple ways to mix: normally with the line faders up/down and the X Fader in the middle. Second with both line faders up and X Fader left right. Third mixing with all up and trim knob left /right (please see my DJ2GO2 videos!) Or you can try it via filter oder EQ knobs. May I forgot other ways. However: regular DJ Sets are mixing songs for a crowd after each other, only sometimes they lay above each other. Some effects, but not too much. Instead short "Performance" DJ Sets use a lot of effect stuff. A DJ doing a "performance" has a lot of preparation like cue points, prepare the keys and so on. All above 20 tracks in one short performance takes A LOT of preparation time and is not a regular DJ Set for the individual crowd.

Heyy, is the hercules 200 good for playing in not so big events?
Good for home or small private events where no balanced XLR output is needed.

Hey! I have this same board. How did u set up your outputs so that you could listen to the non playing track on headphones?
you must playing with Djuced software with your Audio routing. there you can setup the outputs i.e. for headphones or external speakers

To activate the sampler you must press "Shift" and the "Roll" Button. Now you are in sampler mode to access the samples.
