    I must admit that I have become a fan of Dr. David Frawley - not because of the comparisons between the East and the West, but because of the facts that are presented with regards to the ancient aspects of India.

    Truly an inspiring talk, despite the very disturbing truths about Western Culture that we are all very aware of. He poignantly describes the gifts of Ayurveda and Yoga as solutions that are much needed - especially now, and especially for the sake of our grandchildren.

    Dr. Frawley - such a wise humble being. His depth of knowledge is profound, his books are some of my favorite go-to resources like "Ayurvedic Healing" and "Ayurveda and the Mind". May the teachings of Ayurveda reach far and wide ~ Aum Tat Sat

    That we Indians have to be taught this a westerner (surely a bhrashta high-level yogi of past birth) in an integral way shows how our information system needs updating! Amen.

    Living in Canada, I can truly attest to everything he is mentionining that is happening here in the West. Although mainstream chemical medicine is pushed, private 'alternative medicine' clinics are popping up everywhere. They are however, very expensive. As is meditation groups and yoga...very expensive...only people from a specific socio economic class can afford it. India needs ot get back to its roots, naturally and wholly. Western medicine is hte worst medicine out there. They are making us sick and then give us drugs to suppress the sickness.

    This is a very important talk ...If u have some idea about Vedanta philosophy , yoga philosophy , integral unity of knowledge systems of india (as articualed by rajiv malhotra in his book, "being different") , idea of jivatma/paramatma, left leaning liberalism , deculurization of india etc ....U see a comprehensive program to "awaken the bharatha"( incidentally , david frawley has written a book with the very name ...Read it)

    5. Adding as little as half an hour of moderately intense physical activity and some herbal extracts from planet ayurveda to your day can help you avoid a host of serious ailments, including heart disease, diabetes, depression, and several types of cancer, particularly breast and colon cancers.

    Life expectancy in heavily medicated countries has tripled in 500 years, from 30 to 90. End of conversation. We waited for 4 millenia for meditation to cure disease and it never did. I find your talk vacuous.

    • @ShriDewasiAyurved
      @ShriDewasiAyurved 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That stat of 30 is maximum 200year old but what Ayurved is it is minimum 5000year old do we have statistics of age expectency of those people
      No.
      They lived minimum 100years

    Describing Dr. David Frawley as "a western born teacher" You probably refer to to a person who is born in the USA, right? Unfortunately, Dr. David Frawley is not well informed about European medicine, our health care systems as well as the way herbal and natural remedies are prescribed or distributed here . These statements are false and need to be corrected in order to keep this informative talk up to date, truthful and correct.

    • @ShaktiJ

      I love Dr. Frawley and most of what he says is on target, but as a nurse in the U.S. I KNOW that what he says about the power of teachers to get a child on drugs for ADHD is false. It is very difficult to get a child on these drugs, as it should be, and teachers do NOT have that kind of power. Other than that, Dr. Frawley is very knowledgable.

    • @marypierce4323
      @marypierce4323 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I was in mental health field. Teachers did demand medications be used. What the children need is recess play time and quality foods and talk therapy. Mindfulness and yoga

    • @itsherenow1291
      @itsherenow1291 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      jane harris - the PRACTICE of ADHD labeling and diagnosis is extremely prolific in america...everything he said about it is FACTS. I work in schools as a para-pro and i have seen time and again, the authority that teachers are given to strongly recommend a child be tested and examined for ADHD. This step in itself initiates the "program" pressuring parents to agree to testing, and subsequent diagnosis and treatment with deadly drugs. so what he says is TRUTH, in particular among non-white students in the public school system. Teachers absolutely have that kind of power because it's the teacher that initiates the dangerous process in the first place.

    I disagree with Dr Frawley. Ayurveda existed all along in the southern India in Kerala where it originated from.

    • @shilarangarajan
      @shilarangarajan 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ayurveda did not originate in Kerala. It did go through a period of suppression.
      Southern states of India were less affected by foreign invasions, so the traditional arts and sciences were kept alive.
      Kerala has always had a rich tradition of natural medicine. And the Ayurvedic physicians / Vaidya’s have combined this knowledge with Ayurveda from the scriptures.
