CSM and I met at the Atlanta VA hospital when I was on the psych ward, she saved my life. She invited me to move and live near her and her husband. They did so much for me and I can never repay her for her love and compassion. Congratulations CSM Evans.

@@gretchenevans8981 I am great ! It was so great and emotional seeing you on that ESPY Stage. I saw Aura and Rusty and your amazing husband Robert. You saved my life and did so much for me it's wonderful to see get the recognition you richly deserve. You are a true inspiration.
I am great I have lived in Cambodia for the past 4 years and volunteer here helping build schools and helping rid the countryside of landmines and UXO. I help raise funds to help others like you helped me. Love you both always.

What is in us is stronger than anything against us. I’m so proud of Mrs. Gretchen. She is so inspiring and such a beautiful woman inside and out! It was a pleasure being around her and receiving her knowledge.

When Pat Tillman passed away, it was the nudge that pushed me through the door at the army recruiters in 2004. This world might be crazy because of people, but I still believe in humanity. A bald eagle can only fly when both left wing, and the right wing, work together.

The real war started when we came home from Vietnam.
    I am 74 now, was in the Marines after HS66 1967-70 Sgt 1969 MWHG-1, MWCS-1 DaNang MOS 2817 Crypto/Teletype Tech. Then, went to college A.A. Business/Computers, 25 years Mainframe Computer Systems Analyst/Programmer. In Y2K,
I was attacked by the deranged fascist group thinkers, my property damaged, drugged and refused to go down, got an EMS ride to the hospital E.R. I had to take an early retirement. To this day, these punks are still attacking honest people for jobs and property, I have to watch my property and myself every day to guard against these ignorant people, they are making severe electronic sounds at everyone, we are not protected by our elected officials or law enforcement, it like they represent themselves.
Not one person in the community would stand-up and help me.
I went to the Phila Pa VA Hospital, they did not think I had Vietnam PTSD. The V.A. Hospital staff seemed to know their were ‘Company Problems’ around whether the V.A. Administrator’s knew it or not. Actually I had Corporate PTSD - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

As i watched this Woman named Gretchen Evans receive the Pat Tillman Award @ the ESPYs last night, I can only imagine how many of the Women & Men, who fought for, many dying - so Women there would have more "Freedoms," just how they must feel right now, given how THOSE Women, are fast approaching having even MORE RIGHTS than Amerikan Women!! I know what i would be feeling/ doing, but i can't post it here.

Excellent speech CSM Evans and a well deserved award. I commend you for all that you do for the troops and civilians alike. I wish I had a CSM like you in the cav units I served in--your knowledge and experience would have been invaluable to me. I didn't have ANY experienced women NCOs to look up to. Thank you for your service and continued service to society, Gretchen. ❤🤍💙
