@@photographyandmore thank you so much. I open the top cover. My task was to clean the prism, but that seemed impossible so I gave up. I cleaned the vf glass and the parts that were unreachable, so some progress could be made. Thank you again
@@MrYadiGuaar In order to disassemble the prism, you need to unsolder some wires and remove a couple more screws, lift the PCB, and then remove the screws from the prism holder.
It represents a degree of greater complexity.
@@photographyandmore hey, could you elaborate on exactly which wires to unsolder? I have the same issue and it seems like it's stuck on either side, by the wires going down the left handle off the PCB or the two protrusions of the electrical film
@@photographyandmore I know its a while later but this is still helping people! My XG-M has a sheared upper advanced lever assembly. Any advice for replacing this?
Thank you for this video! Really helpful! I have the following problems with my XG7: the shutter dial is stuck on Auto and ASA 100. How can i fix this? I also snapped off the crank lever and it is the screw is completely useless, how can this be replaced? Would you have any tips or be able to point me the right direction
