This is a must see movie. When I saw it I had no idea what I was watching but the trailer I would say doesn't do it justice. Melvin, we can all related to him. Basically Melvin is 'us' on a bad day, only for Melvin - everday is a bad day. Just like us, Melvin half the time doesn't even notice when he is being rude. Another part of this movie is a great "coming of age" story of how even the most rudest and 'bad' person can improve if he puts his mind to it. The comedy is also perfect as it is kind of built up as a "standup comedy sketch" where the main protagonist due to his ailment doesn't beat around the bush. Due to his ability with words he always knows how to directly get the problem worded out, usually with a lot of sarcasm and snarkyness but again due to his elegance with words (and Nicholsons acting) it doesn't come out cheap. The noodle salad line is also great, another classical line is perhaps a little bit spoilerish but basically Jack ponders about the thought of if this is as good as it gets. So a good "feel good" movie and it has a good life message of putting yourself out there.
