- SEPT 2021 UPDATE: it is with regret that we inform you of the passing of young Dakota. He will forever be in our thoughts and prayers, and we express our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this very difficult time 🙏🙏

On July 20th, 2021, we were presented with an opportunity to help escort a young man from the hospital back home. These are the highlights of this incredible journey with Dakota 🙏❤️
I would personally like to thank ALL involved, including Dakota's parents for giving us a chance to share this experience with him. Our visit and the footage you see here would not have been possible without the help of Danielle and John from Nace Transportation, LLC. We humbly appreciate everything you did to help us create a memory for Dakota that he will never forget!! ❤️❤️❤️

Don’t know if you know but Optimus Prime is based on a real person, Peter Cullen’s brother a decorated US Marine Corps Captain who told Peter when he went to audition for the voice of Prime to not to act Hollywood tough but instead to be strong 💪, strong enough to be gentle. So Peter emulated his brother’s character into Optimus Prime. His words to Peter helped create one of the most beloved characters in history.

Dakota's dad and my mother used to date. Dakota was like a brother to me. I'm glad he's doing okay, even though we haven't talked in a while.

He was in my 6th grade class and we have been friends since 2nd grade. Sad news is that he passed away just a few days ago.😭

I'm so frustrated with myself. I wanted to be awake for this premier. I have no excuse...bad sleepless nights always do that to me.
However....this was still one heck of a way to start the day. You guys had me in tears the entire video! That poor little boy! He still looks so sick. Is he going to be OK?
That said, the look on his face....what an awesome way to support and inspire this little guy. And sooo many people...!
I keep hearing the stereotype that bikers are just big meanies. But you actually sit and talk to them and they are some of the coolest people out there! Its so cool they'd go out of their way to help you help this kid out.
I'm insanely jealous of Dakota...right? But also so happy for him. Hopefully the next time he gets that escort from Optimus, it can bring a ride inside the Prime!

Hearing what happened to Dakota is heartbreaking. When I read that update I imagined Optimus giving a message like at the end of the Michael Bay films.
“Life is filled with many joys, but also many tragedies. For human and autobot alike, we take the joys and tragedies in equal measure. I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to Dakota, wherever he may be now. We are here, and you will never be forgotten.”
This shows that optimus prime is symbol for everybody

I am usually one to control my emotions, but about 20-25 seconds into the video, I was crying hard. That is not only truly amazing, but that's so touching. Not just the fact that he survived a brain tumor, but the fact that so many of his friends and family, and even people who he had no idea who they were, supported him and cheered him on, along with Optimus Prime himself.
Joe, I don’t even know this kid, but I want to say thank you for doing that. That made my month, year, life.

I’m wondering how many other people with disabilities prime has helped? Has he made any trades towards letting people with wheelchairs “transform, “back into those who walk like myself? If so, that would be a transformation for the ages. then, of course, he would have to change tomorrow. It would have to be, “let’s walk on. “I’m being serious here, as I want to do something in special education. it would be cool, then, to commemorate this man/grow up with one of my students… Teacher-student… Wearing some of his high tech stuff in order to walk. That would be nice. What would be even better, this is Peter, calling himself could actually build something for that student. Let’s walk on.
