They are simply the best-check out the other half of the Braun Brothers-"Micky and the Motorcars" for some stuff that is sneaking up on these guys. Next time in Stanley, Idaho, I will drink from the waters or Slate Creek in Stanley, Idaho in hopes of getting some of that mojo. These guys are talented, genuine and fun. Reckless Kelly has changed my life and I love these guys!
well if they do file a lawsuite Reckless kelly will win because this was released before whiskeytowns version but i may b mistaken and if they did steal it there versions way better and Whiskeytown should b thanking them for making there song more popular then they ever could make it themselves, Reckless Kelly, Ragweed, Drive By Truckers and Justin Townes Earle are the most underappreciated and most talented musicians of our generation they don't just write crap that will get them on the radio they write storys of there lives or others lives the way they grew up its not just songs its stories that's what i love about Americana music it has meaning soul, heartbreak, love, hate, happiness, sadness everything these bands and musicians have forever changed my life and the way i write and sing I love all of them thank u reckless DBT JTE and ragweed i love all u guys can't wait to c yall again and hangout on the tourbus that's another plus to these musicians they will take time to listen to how they have changed our lives unlike these bullcrap MTV bands that are all about money and ticket sales these bands play from there soul and heart and that's what it should always b about but we also have to remember these people are trying to make a living so it's important to buy the music instead of downloading it illegally
+Tina Blakemore Actually, Whiskeytown first wrote and released their song "Excuse me while I break my heart tonight".....first recorded on their album in 1997. But I did a side by side comparison of the songs and they don't have the same chord progression, or same chords, whatsoever. The only thing similar are the works "Break my heart tonight". Completely different story lines in the song and not quite the same meanings. Therefore....there can't be a lawsuit.
+Garrett Tacha Way to go indie listener, dropping names of bands you think no one else has heard of to sound cool. This song is nothing like Whiskytowns. I love Caitlyn Cary, and not denying Ryan Adams talent but here in NC where he's from no one can stand him. Atleast if they do they won't admit it lol
ok dude...they don't realy sound that much alike...besides,there's only 12 notes in the musical scale to work with...some shit is bound to sound similar... Damon
I know they're gonna be in in Gruene, TX around August 2nd 'cause I'll be there probably. And they're back in Houston/Dallas later in the month. Check out there site. :)
This is a ripoff of "Excuse Me While I Break My Heart Tonight" by Whiskeytown. Same chord changes, similar title...good lord. Have a listen to the two! I see a lawsuit in the future.
Write what ya know and it just goes to show....you gotta write your own destiny.......I'll be alright........
