I have only read about L&T who wants to make everything Indian.... Tata wanted AirIndia badly but they never invested in R&D in aerospace (developing technology - engine, etc, but have been collaborating with US partners for MII), where as L&T have been investing in developing things locally.....say mini-sub. RIL is pure business, they are bought everything foreign - Telecom, Green H2, Solar cell, Wind turbines, AI data centers, healthcare etc...they have money but never invested in developing homegrown solutions. So far Adani has also not shown any interest in developing homegrown solutions. In comparison to Largecaps, mid-small caps are investing in homegrown solutions for e.g. - Praj Ind, Murugappa group (TI), A lot of defense industries, Pharma Industries in general.....

Only through private sector companies become global giants, India will able to address Chinese or US threats. If not then we will remain just pawn in global chess board. In summary, increase our values and then ppl start give you more weight to your position.
What people should realize that China has changed strategy from manpower intensive direct engagement to now relying on technology and intelligence intensive engagement with drones, missiles, stealth aircraft, cyber attacks and more use of proxies at multiple fronts for India including Mayanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan. Gen Narayana, you absolutely said true, our multinationals (TCS, Tech M, old Patni, Infosys, etc) and even RIL do not want to spend on development but prefer foreign tech for business.
I have only read about L&T who wants to make everything Indian....
Tata wanted AirIndia badly but they never invested in R&D in aerospace (developing technology - engine, etc, but have been collaborating with US partners for MII), where as L&T have been investing in developing things locally.....say mini-sub.
RIL is pure business, they are bought everything foreign - Telecom, Green H2, Solar cell, Wind turbines, AI data centers, healthcare etc...they have money but never invested in developing homegrown solutions.
So far Adani has also not shown any interest in developing homegrown solutions.
In comparison to Largecaps, mid-small caps are investing in homegrown solutions for e.g. - Praj Ind, Murugappa group (TI), A lot of defense industries, Pharma Industries in general.....

Just look at the top companies in the US or China and compare them to India’s. It’s clear we’re way behind in technology because our companies barely invest in research and development. Our education system isn’t preparing us for the future, and on top of that, restrictive government laws make it tough for startups and small businesses to grow. If we fix these basics-better education, more innovation, and fewer hurdles for businesses-we can create global companies, lead in manufacturing and R&D, and solve our bigger problems. Only through private sector companies become global giants, India will able to address Chinese or US threats. If not then we will remain just pawn in global chess board. In summary, increase our values and then ppl start give you more weight to your position.

What people should realize that China has changed strategy from manpower intensive direct engagement to now relying on technology and intelligence intensive engagement with drones, missiles, stealth aircraft, cyber attacks and more use of proxies at multiple fronts for India including Mayanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan. India needs to develop counters for this strategy as well, after dominating manpower intensive engagement.
