HIT ME! God damn. I got into the Butthole Surfers when I was in high school in the mid-'80s. I'm finding that this is what 56-year-old old me needs again to cope with life in the late-stage capitalism to techno-feudalist transition of the 2020s. No regrets.
I was trying to explain to a.coworker what these guys sound like. The only thing harder than categorizing their music is trying to describe it to someone else
Anything and everything, that's what I thought, highly skilled musicians with a brilliant front man who's songwriters skills are second to none, whatever it is it is going to be raw, obscene, to the absolute limit and fking brilliant all the while, music wouldn't be what it is without The Butthole Surfers
@@scottrobertson7787 my sister described them as jam band. While I don't entirely agree with that it is probably the closest thing to what they actually are.
I Also had the cassette back in the day & hadn’t heard this EP in years, still love it! Wonder if it’s available on CD / Vinyl?? Bong Song my favorite!! 🤩 👍
cant find this one on the bandcamp link....ive never heard them so good . this is a masterpiece. Jk it's on the bands page under different album art cause it's sold as a split
This is the original artwork cover for the 1989 UK 10" release. It also came with a foldout insert of pics taken from a live UK festival gig (which I forget the name of) and the Doctor Who opening titles at the time. I'm not joking! I still have mine.....somewhere. And if I'm being really honest I think this is one of the worst things they ever released cos this was the next thing they did after Hairway To Steven and this just seemed such a let down after that,
Still the best music to have in my head phones when someone goes down on me.
bae
It would also be the perfect soundtrack for having your back door penetrated.

Me too fellas...me too...at least we got to see all the good bands!
you're saying my kenjutsu lessons have done me a good'n?
first heard these guys when I was young! At age thirteen my buddy and I would laugh hysterically at the first and second album. Still listening !!!!!!
motherfucking BONG SONG. I had a cassette copy of this ep around 1988. Just amazing.
The really really bad coughing [especially high] to me is some of the worst noises I've ever heard. I love the Butthole Surfers.
I'm listening to this because I like to have blast off music when I smoke. I figured this was fitting
I sent Paul an email once asked him what was the lyrics to Bong Song. He said Gibby probably doesn't know!
Probably my favorite Surfers tune, thanks for asking the question! He just ad libbed lyrics for Jesus Built My Hotrod too.

Folk punk
They're simply a punk rock band while breaking all the rules of what a punk rock band sounds

Played over and over and over and over on cassette in my car, primo!!!
Oh wow me too. It didn't skip like this vinyl LOL.

Killer band and showtime effects!!! Supervision is requisite upon the release.
This made me different.
The Bong Song is my favorite song of all time.
‘His body and his mind have farted, you can see it happen
In his eyes....’
All laughter aside, leave the lights as you see fit.
This is a record, yes?

Why did I ever try and partner with someone who does not like this band? Top three litmus tests.
Shoutout to anybody who knows of Jackofficers.
Dont know what you are missing.
Oh ok so this is 80's death grips
Sorry I hated this album.
I still understand why.
There is no need to sorry about being honest.
@@ripoffrecords this is when they started to sound too keyboardish or electronic. Live it has a good raw sound.
@HadesMiscreant I love every surfer album up to this point.
Love is hate
Hate is love 💖
Gibby's voice is pretty hard to listen to on this one. He's intentionally singing like shit.
I used to have this cassette
